Remind Bell never to go to NC for a recruit.
Soemone already said that first team all state guys are not on JSU' radar. Bell rather settle for 160 Lb running backs who are academically ineligible. Makes sense to me.

DOOMSDAY said:Ladies, I been around this page to know not to:
1. continue to reply on a thread when I've already been made an azz of
2. know better than to post three responses in a row just to get my thread count up
3. know that anybody over the age of 9 that uses the word doodoo has some issues
4. know not to dig a deeper hole in a losing smack battle.
If you two nuttswangers would quit touching each other long enough to look up you'd see ain't no reputable jsu smacker touched this thread in a while. That's cause they know better than to let thrilla use them like a kleenex after a nocturnal emission. Guess which two don't know better? :wavey:

I ain't cosigning. I'm trying to help y'all lame young azz NonSmackingMafia members learn something boy.
bornthrilla said:As for post #39, that link clearly says that ECU was the first 1-A offer he got. It does not say it was his only offer, it only says it was the first-- maybe the first of many. How do you know it wasn't? You don't know who might have offered to him after this article was printed.
You don't know who might have offered to him
What a bunch of BS.I just posted this link to prove to you that A&T did beat out other schools for a least one of our players, something you said we did not do. That in itself, proved your original statement wrong.

Now you are just speculating........look what BT has been dumbed down to! Well, hell, in that case, who's to say William Davis didn't have an offer from So. Carolina, Miss. State or Memphis?
William Davis
OL 6-3, 290, Corinth HS — Member of The Clarion-Ledger Top 40. Mississippi State and Memphis also showed interest.
bornthrilla said:You moron, that article was from a ECU website so of course it would only refer to ECu and who they offered a schoalrship to.
Based on your lame reasoning, JSU had a poor class this year because you only can show proof that two of your players had other offers besides JSU, and those were just from 1-AA schools.
Isn't that true? Do you have any proof that any 1-A programs actually offered to your players? No. So using the same arguement you used against me, that must mean your class must really sucks, huh?
Ummmm, we have guys that were coveted by Top 25 programs. The only difference is that our recruits don't have to take untimed ACT tests to get eligible. We sign guys like that every year. It's nothing new to The Mighty JSU.
bornthrilla said:But please tell me how this one point impacts our central argument that A&T's class is overrated? I know you have not decided to just hang your hat on this one point?
bornthrilla said:Also you made this claim:
Do you still maintain this viewpoint even thought it has ben proven that your fist team all state/ second team all state (lol!) RB is not academcally eligible. Do you have proof that any top 25 1-A program coveted (which means to want something badly) or even offered to any of your players? (Just having a school appear in your player's interest list is still not enough proof, right?)
If you don't have proof, this further proves that your class sucks, right?
Your main recruiting grounds had a poor year talent-wise (especially for OL), which explains how most received their honors.

DOOMSDAY said:I guess y'all is just plain dumb.
bornthrilla said:There you go again debating apples with oranges.
You know we are talking about 2004 signees, not 2003.
Is it true or not that only two of JSU's 2004 signees were offered scholarships by other schools besides JSU? And based on the reasoning that you (not me) have clung to so relentlessly these last two threads, doesn't that mean that JSU's class sucks just the way you say that means that A&T's class sucks?
You can't have it both ways now.
Please answer that question.
bornthrilla said:All you showed was that the number of players from NC who signed 1-A scholarships decreased from 2002 to 2003. You have read nothing that says that 2004 was a bad year for NC football. Why are you using a stat about last year to support your claim that this year was bad? how much sense does that make?
Also, I don't think you can put a lot of weight behind a single stat that just shows the number of 1-A scholarships signed by one state's players in a given year. There may be more factors involved than that to decide if one state had a "a good or bad year". It seems like a pretty arbitrary stat to me. In 2002 NC was ranked in the top ten according to this stat. In 2003 NC fell to #17 according to this stat. Do you know for certain that NC did not go back up into the top 10 in 2004...according to this stat?
First, I posted that link to show you how retarded you look when you say that MS had a poor quality of players.
Secondly, what does support that claim is that your top O-Linemen in 2004 couldn't get a school better than Duke to look their way. If that's the best that your OL class has, of course you'd expect a I-AA school to come away with some players that were All-State and Top 50 recruits.
