This kid shot and killled a 27 year veteran of the police force. that means this guy was dayum near about to retire. Then attempted to escape from police interrogation. He deserved every punch he recieved. I say when he heals...beat his ARSE again.

DSN, that's just it, we don't know what lead this kid to kill that cop. Again, what if the cop was using rough house tactics to get a confession out of this kid, and he defended himself? The cop was careless if nothing else, because he did have a gun on him while interrogating the kid. Also the cop had to have been close to him, for him to take the gun from him to shoot him.
I just don't know what happened to lead that kid to do what he did, so I'm reserving judgement? Remember this is still America, you're innocent until PROVEN GUILTY. So for me to say this kid deserved to get the schit out of him, when he could be innocent on both accounts (because we don't know what happened in that interrogation room), would be blindly believing an organization who's record is not clean when it comes to dealing with blacks, and minorities in general.
Now if the kid is found to be guilty on both charges, then I still wouldn't say he deserved the arse whipping, more so than it was expected.
The case in Atlanta should've taught cops, and law enforcement personnel all across this country to be mindful of their weapons in dealing with criminals, and suspected criminals. I'm not saying the cop is wrong if he was in fact just interrogating the kid, but he was definitely negligent.
I understand some of our youth are ruthless, heartless, and any other adjective you care to use, but everybody is still entitled to a fair trial without harm to them.
It amazes me how some of you can blindly say a kid deserved the arse whipping he got, because he killed a cop that could've very well been whipping his arse from the jump, but won't look at the police departments history of roughing people up, and even killing innocent people, and then trying to cover the stories up, when they're found to be totally guilty.
There have been too many cases of policemen killing young black, and latino men for probable cause, for me to all of a sudden take their word at face value......but I digress.
There are just too many possibilities involved in this for me to say he deserved to be beaten when he could be innocent, so I'll leave it that. You, and others feel the way you do, and I feel the way I do, so I'm parting with my .02.
