Comegy is an idiot, all in favor say "I"....

Actually the last 3 yrs cause Comegy use to pull Oliver for no reason too. If he wouldn't have pulled Oliver the first Grambling game, JSU may have won that game. I'm not calling Comegy an idiot but he like messing with his QBs.

I am sayin we will never be as good as we are suppose to be with this coaching staff:lecture:

Defense-consistantly good bend but dont break
Offense-Erratic decisions all the time
Special Teams- Horrible at best except the years we had Jaymar and the runningback #29
Entire staff- They always play their favorites this isn't a secret all the players know you can beat a guy put for a position and u still wont get a shot to play in the game!:shame:

and im saying bad example b/c he was knocked of the game.. Fact
you said he could have come back in - Opinion

your assuming he could of come back in just b/c he was on the sideline. Heck B.Lee was on the side line after getting injured last yr for the bayou classic but no way he was coming back in...again that's why i said Bad Example..not that your argument is wrong just a bad example... lol calm down.

Whatever dude.
Moving on.

And what's up with telling people to calm down when nobody is heated.
You assume way too much.

I never understand why HBCU coaches do this. I remember when Jones was going back and forth between QB's for what two or so years. Why not hire a real QB coach and let him work with the QB's. We all gone learn one day.

Didn't Steve Spurrier go through a phase in Florida where he changed QBs every play and every series?

We lost that game becasue we changed the defense up that week specifically for Grambling. In the games we lost in 2006, we lost becasue of D2 coaching. They got beyond D2 coaching but since then, they have coached themselves out of games.

Okay, what would you do, and if you game plan does not work what adjustments would you make?

I would start McDonald. I'd scrap that damn spread offense or at the least, minimize it. I would run our backs out of the I-formation, with the option of Bolea, Edwards or McDonald running the ball OR I'd go play action with our tight end and/or receivers.

I'd keep the offense simple; I'd focus on our running game, play ball control offense, minimize the penalties, let our defense do it's thing and let the chips fall where they may.

It would be McDonald's game to win or lose. Barring injury, neither Rutland or Mosely would see the field, unless they were receivers.

It aint just HBCU coaches. Steve Spurrier has done it alot. Not that I agree with it either. All it means you really don't have a number 1 Qb. Some programs have made it work before. Just depends on how you do it I guess.

I couldn't do it though. Got to have that clear number 1 guy.

Yeah I forgot about ole Steve, but when you have the kind of O-Line he has, I guess you can do that.

it was a joke...

anyhow back to topic at hand yeah i agree with your earlier assessment. blind loyalty is something Comegy needs to get pass. Hell Pete needs to get over his loyalty with Orlando! Geez we need that cat gone.

I don't know what it is with our coaches but it's like they can't make the HARD DECISION and stick to it.

I don't even call this competition if the so-called #1, in our case TRAE, know that no matter what, he's going back in reguardless of what happens in practice or the game.

Rutland does have one fan out there in Tiger land.

I can not believe I was in traffic for 2 hours to see that display of what we call SWAC FOOTBALL. Granted, I am not a TRAY RUTLAND fan but we could've beaten TSU by 30 with his present on the field.

My bad...two fans..

RUTLAND SHOULD HAVE PLAYED AND YALL CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT BUT WE WOULD HAVE WON THAT GAME IF HE WOULD HAVE PLAYED........SORRY BUT MCDONALD IS NOT READY....NOT AT ALL......WHO PUTS IN A QB WITH NO EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU LIKE 5 YDS AWAY FROM THE GOAL LINE......SO STUPID.......GOTTA PUT RUTLAND IN NEXT GAME AND GOTTA GET RID OF THE COACHES BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY RUTLAND SHOULD HAVE STARTED

All I know is that he pulled Oliver in the 2nd quarter and didn't put him back in.

I see we think alike in regards to football philosophy......

 This cat that goes to my barber shop always says the same thing happened to him when he played at TU. I would just give him a hard time and tease him about not being any good. From the looks of it, he may have a valid point. Buddy always quotes Woody from his tirades towards players in film session.

The defense was solid, the offense placed the defense in tuff situations all day. The players on offense seemed totally confused on what they should be doing. Have you thought about putting Woody on the field and Comegy in the press box? :noidea:

How about putting Woody on the street with a box of his favorite momentos and a pink slip.
