These SWAC schools decisions are mind boggling. You win the division 2 years in a row and you get fired. If JSU fired their coach then how does Barlow keep his job? Alabama state has been the most under acheiving team in the SWAC with the talent they have under his watch. The SWAC will be a laughing stock next year after that clear coach at Alcorn run through the competition. Hehehe.

Yet, JSU folks are convinced they are going to get a better coach. :smh:

You're right about Jay Hopson too. He probably CAN'T WAIT for the season to begin.

JSU is about to hire a loser coach...they made a big mistake firing Comegy

yall gonna be like dayum TRU shole was right...

You should at least hold off on these comments until all the hires have been made.

Sit down and shut up. Please.

Jagfan, you are normally rational. Why is it so hard to believe that our AD will not be involved in this process? She really only focuses on compliance. She didn't hire the basketball coach either.

More importantly, how does everyone supposedly know what's going on over here....our a.d. has never been involved in hires. Former players/ alum, and hoard will conduct the search and narrow it down.

Come on, Pop. I have no problem with him saying that she won't make the final decision. But, no input at all? Not one conversation with anyone involved with the process until the new hire gets to campus. :|

That ... and I just like messing with VOR every chance I get. :emlaugh:

"Bring On Your New Head Coach and Coaching Staff JSU......I'll score 48 points on them and get them fired, too"

leave that piece of sh@t at Alcorn! Tigers are meat eaters, but I doubt JSU would want any of Alcorn scraps!

The AD has made a drastic error.
JSU will regret this day.
I remember where Comegy took JSU from.
I do hope the BELL era doesn't repeat itsself.
Time will tell but it looks like ALCORN is getting ready to rule the EAST.

:quiet: not so loud, they may hear you and then get mad

Frat get real, the two game loosing streak did him in.

You are correct. Sometimes when you lose and who you lose to plays just as big a role as how many you lose. Comegy was in the midst of a good regular season and then the bottom fell out. He was on thin ice to begin with, better coaching would've won hi at least one more title and an extension.

Some of yall sound scared.....

Of who??

Stomped...LOL

You do realize this was STUMPS seniors that, for the most part caused Fuller to show Comegy the door. LOL!

This is why I have UAPB football schedules from as far back as 1989 (yes I keep them in my purse and have them in my locker at work).

In 2006, Alabama A&M had a season overall record of 9-3 (7-3 SWAC). I specifically remember this because we had the exact same conference record when we represented the WESTERN Division in the SCG that year.

UAPB had an overall season record of 8-4 in 2006
JSU had an overall season of 6-5 (5-4 SWAC)

On October 28, 2006 at Golden Lion Stadium, we beat JSU 43-40; both teams had the exact same record of 5-2 (4-2 SWAC) going into the game.

In 2012, UAPB had an overall season of 10-2 (8-1 SWAC)
That same year, JSU had an overall season of 7-5 (7-2 SWAC)

No actually, you proved my point. In another thread, when I brought up these exact same facts (you had mentioned how my boys couldn't beat JSU at Veterans Memorial), you said the 2006 year didn't count because of your coaching (Bell in particular). Now you're saying 2006 does count. That is why I posted what I did back then and today.

In another thread this year you told some SU alums that they went to the SWAC by default like my folks did in 2012. UAPB did not win the West or go to the SCG by default. Another reason why I posted our 2006 & 2012 record.

Damn...TP just got SERVED!
