Well, I hope we go after a proven winner. I think ole Rick didn't want to get rid of some staff members. But, that's water under the bridge now...

Losing to bad teams? If y'all keep losing to bad teams, then what does that say about your team? Do you guys actually look at the quality of play on the field? Y'all are not good, man. NOT AT ALL. This is the SWAC. You haven't seen "good" football at JSU in 20 years. Now you're going to hire somebody to consistently "win championships"? Who? Nick Saban?

She won't. It will be Hoard, Rennick and some of the boosters. Of course, she will have to sign off but she won't be out there reviewing resumes, conducting interviews and what-not. I doubt the AD has any say-so.
 
Looking at the the new coaches I like how we've hired. Brent will show out for us. The soccer coach won the title, the new softball coach won a title. No hook up coaches. We will be fine...

Had he won in Bham last year, we would not be having this discussion. So it's not JUST the lost to SU. It's the totality of the last 8 seasons. We have had the best team in the SWAC 7 out of the last 8 years and we have ONE championship.

This is why I have UAPB football schedules from as far back as 1989 (yes I keep them in my purse and have them in my locker at work).


In 2006, Alabama A&M had a season overall record of 9-3 (7-3 SWAC). I specifically remember this because we had the exact same conference record when we represented the WESTERN Division in the SCG that year.

UAPB had an overall season record of 8-4 in 2006
JSU had an overall season of 6-5 (5-4 SWAC)

On October 28, 2006 at Golden Lion Stadium, we beat JSU 43-40; both teams had the exact same record of 5-2 (4-2 SWAC) going into the game.

In 2012, UAPB had an overall season of 10-2 (8-1 SWAC)
That same year, JSU had an overall season of 7-5 (7-2 SWAC)
