It's not a done deal yet, Stump is really torn about leaving now with the program as he sees it, heading in the right direction. But odds are he will take the money and run. BTW.. He was in St. Louis this weekend.

Really? The same Elvis Joesph that played with SU not that long ago and played with the Jacksonville Jaguars (I think)?

That cat is young. Barely 30 huh? Maybe one the youngest coaches in the nation.

Yep. He played RB at SU in 1999 and 2000. He is 33 or 34.

I'm definitely a Stump supporter, but hell, I can't blame him for leaving. More money, less stress.

You SU folks don't seem too upset over him leaving...especially at this time of year. Is it safe to assume that Joseph will be the head guy on the sideline this upcoming season until a search for a permanent guys can me made?

I hate the timing, but at this point if he leaves what else could we do? Elvis would have to be the man for next season. I honestly think a few of the younger players will also leave if Stump leaves.

You should have believed it when I started the thread...at least know that it was more than just a rumor. I don't smack all the time...the thread topic said, "no smack".

34 years old isn't too young... At least yall get to see him as an interim for 1 season. This (no smack) was not gonna be a championship season with Stump...Joseph might be able to get the same number or wins, give or take as Stump. The question will be if he keeps the program moving in the right direction. Stanger things have happened.

We shall see MB. 5 or more wins in his 1st year will be a step forward.
