Coach Sanders says all Swac schools should have player names on jerseys





@J-State2DaPoint and all JSU alum....

I wanna make it clear that just because I may disagree with Coach Sanders on an issue DOES NOT mean I hate him or am jealous or am out to see him or JSU fail. I am my own person, with my own thoughts & opinions, and I am not of those “go-along-to-get-along” people, nor am I a part of “The Coalition”. I’m a regular person who has a difference of opinions, like everyone else...



...with that being said, me personally, I’d rather NOT have names on the back of jerseys, regardless if Coach Sanders pays or Commish McClelland or the school pays. It’s just my personal preference.
 
Lord I come to you humbly on bended cyber knee. Please Lord give coach prime wisdom 🙏🏾. Lord help him understand that he needs to be all about JSU and not the swac. Jesus grant him the power of discernment hallelujah. Help him see that he is offering everyone a seat at a level table but he is surrounded by people with the spirit of Judas. We thank you Lord!!

Let the coalition do their own thing. I'm tired of him trying to save everyone.

HUMMM>>>>I'm not sure why you are bringing the LORD in what appears to be a SELFISH prayer. If you really supported what you claimed he was trying to do for the "SWAC", then you wouldn't be asking the Lord to have him to focus on JSU, only. Don't play with GOD, because you'll never win that way.

Sir, I recommend that you get some serious "Anger Management" therapy. You have, basically, cursed everyone out on this thread, if they are black and don't agree with how Deion chooses to use his tongue. I actually think that he has the potential to shed some positive light on some HBCUs. Unfortunately, it's not about "WHAT" he does, but, it is about "HOW" he does it. He doesn't have or use Executive Functioning at all, which means he doesn't have a filter or considers the impact of his words. That's why people seem to have to come behind him to explain his intentions. He's just really getting started as the Head Coach at JSU. Are you sure you want to be this angry and defensive over the next 3 to 4 years?????

Even though, I personally, appreciate a few of the critical items he has brought to discussions, I think it's a bit unfair to expect praise and worship for everything that comes out of Deion's mouth. That's the truth, take it or leave it......

And, stop thinking that everybody hates JSU. That's just not true. They just don't pay any of our bills..

Don’t know if this is serious or not, I agree with the wisdom part. Coach Sanders professes to be a Christian; if he has Christ in him, he has the gift of the Holy Spirit, who gives us discernment and wisdom. All he has to do is just make sure his plan for JSU or the SWAC or whatever lines up to what pleases and brings God glory and he’s good.
 
It's weird that be only wants to save the other SWAC schools in the media. He was around FAMU coaches nunerous times this weekend where he not only could have found out why we don't have names on the back of our jerseys but could have made his generous offer in person. I don't doubt that his desire to be the savior of HBCUs isn't sincere. But painting us a poor and inept in the media aint the way.

Nothing is wrong with it per say.

The gripe a LOT of folks are having is OTHERS have said some of the same things Deon has said. And got called all sorts of names or ignored.

Now Deon says it and suddenly folks want to act like he was the FIRST to say it.

That is the issue with BLACK FOLK-we want to cherry pick who gets to say or do what.

Nothing is wrong with him saying or paying for it. What is wrong acting like he as the FIRST to say it.

He needs to concern himself with JSU business not the SWAC and stop running his mouth. Before he ticks off the wrong person or conference. Don't let The Ohio State come a calling for a game and they will gladly HUMBLE him.

I get his reasoning and it makes sense. However I always cringe when I see a non-NFL team I'm backing with names. It's just a cart before the horse thing for me stemming from my youth and old school coaches I guess. Everybody will have their own philosophy.
