I have no reason to lie and I'm sure that our sports photographer will have it in tomorrows paper, and it will be posted. Freakin sad. :smh:
 
Well I wasnt going to say but I was watching a college sports show in houston and they showed tsu's volleyball or soccer team and I remarked about how prominent the word 'SOUTHERN' was on the jerseys. Maybe its the 'in' thing to do in Third Ward now. :rolleyes:
 
Now this is SAD!!!! Maybe they are trying to "trick" their fans to come out and watch a game. :shame:

I guess you heard them play it around 1976 too, huh? Don't trip. You know YOU stand up when "Do whatcha wanna" is played by anybody. If not, your family isn't proud. :shame: :lol:

I haven't seen this. I doubt it's that serious. Unis get changed in and out it seems every 3 or 4 years. Nobody wants SU's name on their chest. Trust, the diploma says Texas Southern University. And the Texas makes it even sweeter. Anything else JUST ISN'T NATIVE. :bowdown:

Uh dude, TxSU wasn't playing Do what you wanna until SU started playing it. Yall are just like FAMU who is now playing it. Aint like that was being played on local Houston radio stations when Rebirth did the tune in the early 90s. Get a few New Orleans kids in the band and you try to be SU. :shame: I saw the same isht in 85 when another wave of NO cats infiltrated your band. Have some identify. Play some Lil Flip, Geto Boys or Screw. Better yet stick to Zydeco.........wait that's from LA too. ~snicker~
 
It seems to be the women sports that are doing it moreso than the guys but it still doesn't matter. As luck would have it the they didn't have a photographer at the game last night, they probably were all at the Mayors Inaugural ball like me but I did tape it. I'll see if I can edit it with windows media and post it.

Actually, I thought the same thing when I first saw the jerseys. Texas is on the front of the jersey; I believe it's in a smaller font compared to the font size of Southern and I think Texas is in a similar color to the jersey and Southern is in a different color than the jersey.

Actually, I thought the same thing when I first saw the jerseys. Texas is on the front of the jersey; I believe it's in a smaller font compared to the font size of Southern and I think Texas is in a similar color to the jersey and Southern is in a different color than the jersey.
 



Let me set the record straight (just like Texas Southen Fan said):

Texas is on front of the jersey however it is in a small black font while Southern is written in a much larger white font and once the jerseys start to perspire, the word Texas is totally non-visable unless you are right up in front of the athlete.

Our alumni (and trust me when I say this) has discussed this with Coach Dwalah Fisher (volleyball) and Coach Claude Cummings (women's basketball) and this is a Russell flaw that WILL be corrected for next year's jersey.

They were playin "Do Whatcha Wanna", the dates for the first two arrangements are BEFORE 1983. I'll get on the horn to Prof. Thornton and ask him. See, I knew that "Oh ya'll have N.O. peeps in the band...." crap would surface. You must not know much about Houston. Here's a hint: Where do most folks grandparents come from in this city?
And by the way: Tell SU to stop playing "Purple Stuff", and stop trying to screw "Knockin' Pictures Off tha Wall". Knockin' Picture's ain't supposed to be screwed and screw isn't in the tempo range of 112. Also, tell Cash Money to chill with Down South Rap...UGK did it first. :slap:
 
I don't know why but I LMAO whenever SU and TSU smack each other. It's almost like watching 2 brothers arguing w/ each other. :emlaugh:
