LL's first year of eligibility was 2010 I believe so in essence he is right but sorry Chuck D Pac is a bigger influence so there's no way he was not getting inducted his first year of eligibility
LL was able to adapt his style to appeal to mainstream audience. Tupac's message and style didn't change as much, but his overall appeal was stronger. Both deserve entry, does it really matter who goes first? What's the criteria for entry?
Chuck D is correct. LL is the GOAT in reality. He had longevity and great albums. He also was the first ballad type rapper. He brought WOMEN to love hip hop. If it wasn't for LL. There is no Tupac. And I am a huge Pac fan.
Chuck D is absolutely correct. Sometimes I get angered about how they place emphasis on Tupac so much. Given he is one of my favorites but we have to support those who laid the foundation.
LL and Tupac were both rappers with huge followings, but different styles and audiences. LL's contributions were significant, but he and Tupac are/were two different animals in the Hip-Hop world.
