Even to this day, parts of me wishes I would have pushed harder to walk on at Valley and continued playing but then I see stories like this and am glad I have gotten older with all my mental and physical capacities mostly intact

I believe he had an issue prefacing football, if memory serves correct.

I’m not discounting football being the gas on the fire for his condition.

However, I think it’s lazy thinking that only football helped contribute to his condition. CTE? Most definitely. ALS? Think there is more at play.

Hell … as you know … the guy who the ALS gets its nickname from was literally called “The Iron Horse” before being forced to stop playing baseball.
