Chris Brown sought in alleged beating

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Los Angeles police say they're investigating an alleged domestic violence felony battery report involving Chris Brown.

The police department says in a release the 19-year-old R&B singer and a woman were in a vehicle in the Hancock Park neighborhood early Sunday when they began arguing. Police say Brown and the woman got out of the car and the argument escalated.

Police say the woman identified Brown as her attacker. Officers say Brown wasn't at the scene. A message left for Brown's representative seeking comment wasn't immediately returned.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight has confirmed that Brown's girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna was involved in a car accident this morning and will not be performing at tonight's 51st Annual Grammy Awards.

A Grammy representative told ET that the singer's face is slightly bruised from the accident.

Their last-minute absences caused some last-minute reshuffling of the Grammy telecast, including a hastily put together ensemble performance by Justin Timberlake, Boyz II Men, Al Green and Keith Urban.

Rihanna was set to be the second performer on Sunday night's CBS show, singing "Live Your Life" and "Disturbia."

Instead, the ensemble performance went on after an awkward, impromptu-sounding introduction by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who had been scheduled to introduce Rihanna.

Brown was scheduled as the evening's fifth performer, singing "Forever," but his performance was scratched.

Not long before the show the Los Angeles Police Department announced that Brown is the subject of a felony domestic violence battery investigation.

The Recording Academy said only that Rihanna wouldn't be attending. It gave no reason for Brown's no-show.

Brown and Rihanna were both multiple Grammy nominees. On Saturday night, the couple attended the Recording Academy and Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party in Beverly Hills.

Ok people serious that Herpes stuff is made up by Bossip. :smh: at how people are running with it. Herpes is the new gay on the blogs... If you are famous you either are gay or have herpes. :smh:
 
This why young girls are nice to look at, but I wouldn't touch them with a 20ft pole. Give me a seasoned chick anyday.

That is true, but seasoned chicks know their bodies and plus back in the gap you could hit a chick and the worst thing you had to do was take a shot and you were straight. No that deadly killer is loose.
 
According to TMZ:

Chris Brown has officially been booked into the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Brown has been charged with one count felony criminal threats. His bail has been set at $50,000.

UPDATE 11:42 PM EST: TMZ has learned Chris paid his bail and was released.
