I totally agree.

I had a conversation with the woman who was killed in Montgomery, about an hour or so before her death.

She started a conversation with me as she rang up my purchase at the liquor store. I didn't know her, but her face looked familiar to me, as if I had seen her around town before. She told me that she was an Alabama StateUniversity graduate, and I later found out that she was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. I told her that I was on my way to Cramton Bowl to our game versus Arkansas Pine Bluff, and I decided to stop at the liquor store to get something for after the game.

She was in a very good mood, as she was due to get off work in about an hour. She stated that she was thinking about going to the football game after she got off work too.

After the game, I walked over to a friend's house who lived near Cramton Bowl, and we were all sitting around drinking a bit and watching the 10:00 news. To my horror, the news reported that the very woman who I had held a conversation with a few hours earlier, had been murdered in the very same liquor store where I had been.

Its important to note that this was no ordinary "liquor store". It was what we in Alabama call a "State Store", or an "ABC (Alabama Beverage Control) Store". Those are liquor stores that are owned by the State, and some of them are in very nice neighborhoods. This particular store was in one of the nicest parts of Montgomery. Its kinda scary to think that the "snipers" were probably accross the street, casing this location while I was still there.

No one, including me, could forsee the fear and devastation that these two individuals would create in the coming months. What looked liked "just another senseless" killing in Montgomery, Alabama was in fact the beginning of one of the most terrifying chapters in recent criminal history.

Deuce,

Claudine and I were members of the class of 74. I think of her on a regular basis. Senseless animals and cold. Malvo says it was a practice run. :upset: :upset: We passed the crime site on our way home from the game. I too had gone in the store and chatted with her the week before.

Yeah, I remember that. I was still living in Montgomery and I shocked to find out that those guys were responsible for that lady's death.

I was also in that same ABC liquor store as Deuce approximately 15-30 minutes earlier. We both ended up at a friends house. I also spoke briefly with Claudine Parker before she died. She and her family had a "exercise show" that used to come on a Montgomery local cable channel. The scary part is how long were they out there casing the store. Me and Deuce both could have been lying on the street with those two victims (easily).

I know the liquor store of which y'all speak.

Some fraternity brothers and I stopped at that same store just a week or two after that incident during our district conference that was held in Montgomery in 2003. The young lady who worked in there at the time told us that it was the same store where this young lady was gunned down.

:(
