Chiefs player kills self at facility

An unnamed Kansas City Chiefs player has committed suicide at the team facility and police are on the scene, the team confirmed to ESPN on Saturday morning.

Local reports say the police are operating with the belief the player fatally shot his girlfriend at a house before driving to Arrowhead Stadium and killing himself.

That's so sad. Her family said that both of them seemed like a happy couple and had no problems in the past. I also read where they just had a kid together back in September. This guy snapped...and there were no signs that he would
 
Way too sad!...I wonder if NFL teams have psychologist on staff? Some players are under a lot of stress. And for some.. sadly they think a gun is the answer to their problems

I think they do however a player has to be willing to talk to that person.

And some of that stress can be reduced when families and enablers stop using these guys as their meal ticket to stop working and NFL teams stop rushing to get the player that makes news for the wrong reasons and tossing the guy that shows up for work and does his job without drama.

They probably kept their problems to themselves and didn't tell the family. It's kind of hard to believe this dude just snapped like that without some prior issues. I bet you somebody on the team saw some signs, but totally ignored them.

This is a sad, regardless of the reason why this young mam decided to end his life as well as his girlfriends. What is also sad is, we have a society that uses their "psyhic powers: to read the heart of Belcher. Only God, knows why he made this decision.

Snapp says Belcher's mother recently had moved in with the couple, possibly to help with the baby. She called police just before 8:00 a.m. to report Perkins had been shot multiple times. Perkins was transported to a hospital, where she died a short time later.

You miss my point. A large percentage of the time, parents are the root of the of problems between couples, especially the mother.

I bet his mother can provide some insight on what happened..

Bottom line he was a punk for doing this. Another black child to be raised in a mean, careless society without parents. There is always another solution than taking your own life as well as someone else life.

I am so mad at him for robbing that beautiful baby of her mother...I wish someone would go to his funeral and kick his coffin over!

Things like this happen more than we would like to discuss... Especially in OUR community... Mental Illness is a real disease.... Not taking up for the dude for what he has done; however, being in a business where you are NOT able to where your feelings on your sleeve is NOT condusive to seeking treatment and/or healing. Football players are suppose to be Warriors, without default.

I pray for the families of both involved. I am sure there were signs, but Black folks don't like to talk about that.....
