Yeah that's the record. Partly because when Ole Miss, State and USM played games against Bama and LSU there, Memorial hadn't been expanded. And since then, they took out those endzone bleachers, so capacity ain't as big now. That was about 5000 seats. Those games where JSU-SU hit 58,000 or close, mighta broken the record if the endzone seats were there. Lotta folk don't realize that capacity at Memorial now is a little over 58K. Bleachers need to be added to get to 60K or over.Good game....

Ike Holt was a beast.I tell y'all one thing, you gotta give major props to the Alcorn DBs in this game. Checking Valley's WRs man to man was damn near suicide. JSU tried that earlier that season and Rice ate Carl Johnson's lunch. Glad I got to witness this one first hand.

ESPN owns the 1995 SU-Alcorn game footage, correct?
All of our schools should look into restoring the tapes for a modern audience.
