Oh one more thing, why does ESPN just now want to do a story on a SWAC athlete? They did the MEAC athlete a LONG Time ago (Refer to Leroy Van on Youtube). Didn't Gameday even televise live from a MEAC Rivalry Game?

How long ago was Steve McNair at Alcorn? Is that the only thing you guys have done football wise..That was 20 years ago...

And one more thing have you guys ever notice that when u watch a HBCU game on tv all they talk about is the great SWAC players from the 60's 70's and 80's....but when u watch a SEC or ACC game they dont even mention the players they had from the previous year...I say that to say we need to stop holding on to the past and move the lleh on....I want ever SWAC player to do well Steve McNair (RIP) isnt playing anymore this is a new day Casey and Air Toronto are now........

...and yet his magnitude still resonates through the conference to the very day. Our conference let pride blind us and now we are paying the price.
 



The sad part about this thread is that the same posters who are JSU and Casey's biggest antagonists are the same ones who yell "Roll Tide", "Geaux, Tigers", and root for Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Damn shame when you are that backwards by rooting for those schools over a fellow HBCU. :tdown:

:lol: ESPN didn't miss sh@t. JSU dropped the ball on that one. JSU was so damn happy to be on TV, ESPN could have lined up some damn monkeys and they would have been happy. The only thing those JSU folks would have said was, at least we are on tv. :lol:

When was the last time Alcorn was on TV? You forget that ESPN contacted JSU, not the other way around. I guess JSU now controls ESPN or at least that's what you seem to be saying. Any how, thanks for the compliment.
 
I can't believe JSU folks want to hype up Casey O over ONE YEAR while Kent gave them THREE SOLID YEARS but did not get the respect he deserved because JSU folks were so hellbent on getting rid of Hughes. The Irony.

What other FCS schools, much larger than SWAC schools, are on ESPN? What FCS schools can get 50, 60 and 70,000 folks at one game? Name ONE FCS PWC that can do it. I dare you.

I understand what you are saying in all three points, my problem is how white America loves showing up at our door steps when the great white hype is there. No knock at all, glad to see JSU getting coverage that isn't negative. My problem is with white America, not JSU.

Sidenote... T.E. Renty (sp) is the best looking TE I've seen in a long time! I think that kid is NFL bound if he works...he might make All-American. JSU folk tend to overhype players, but this kid has All-American talent.

Dude, Renty is a beast. He was definately ahead of the curve to start last season. He stayed open and had flypaper for hands. At some point, though, he became used less. We don't know why. But he has everything you'd want in a TE. You are right about him.

Wow...I watched this thread grow without looking in it. GR should have known the Bamas raised their ugly heads. And GR is kinda disappointed that yall are addressing that attention-whore Brave guy.

If you A&M folks spent half the time being concerned about your own program as you have in this thread alone, you probably wouldn't be the LAST PLACE TEAM IN THE SWAC. Let me say that again...YOU ARE THE LAST PLACE TEAM IN THE SWAC....6 places behind Valley.

Perhaps if Jones would spend a little time recruiting instead of combing the want ads for ANY job besides A&M you guys could get ESPN to come to Huntsville....if they can find it.

And RentyRollins did make All-American last year.

And yall are concerned about how the story will look from a still shot. This is ESPN not BET. I'm sure they have professional producers who know what they are doing. At the end of the story they have CaseyO The Great standing over Memorial with a sword saying "Are you not entertained, is this not why you are here?" (with an Indian head in his hand)
 
some of you guys are pathetic and smh at the moderators for all this bullshit to happen instead of just deleting the post like u have done in the past. i cant wait to unleash one of these "positive" threads on these other schools

Him and his JSU buddies always want to associate Kent with Bell and thus want him to be below Terriahault. Kent was the last great QB JSU had. They just don't want to admit it because of their hatred for Hughes...:lol:.

They also have selective memory. If a QB scored 61 points and 52 points on my Homecoming (Darnell Kennedy in 2001 and Bruce Eugene in 2005), not to mention Tony Hobson can claim a win over Comegy I would want to forget about them too.

Dude you are the "Village Idiot of TSPN"...what happen to Kent was bad coaching point blank that is not JSU fans fault thats Culberson fault for making a bad hire..... and have you seen Casey's stats he put up 21 on Alcorn before halftime......? and what does Danell Kennedy and Bruce Eugene have to do with anything...
