MOBILE, Alabama -- The captain of the Prancing Elites, a controversial male dance group, is scheduled to appear in court later this month, accused of shoplifting at the Semmes Walmart.
Kentrell Demetrius Collins, 26, is charged with third-degree theft, a misdemeanor.
Reached by phone, Collins declined to comment about what happened at Walmart. His attorney, Michael Kaoui, did not immediately return calls.
According to a deposition filed in court by the Mobile County Sheriff's Office, Collins allegedly walked into the men's department of Walmart on Feb. 12, tore the tag off a belt and put it on. He then left the store without paying.
The belt cost about $10, according to court records.
