Not so fast my friend.......... Lands and Bell are coming back. You need to pay attention. Uh the bright skinned lineman is not a Sr. Oliver, Thomas and Stewart are not bright skinned.

I know Oliver isn't...his granddad and my dad are homeboys/cousins. It wasn't til generations later that we had lightskinned peeps in our family. Hell, Oliver's granddad thinks I'm high yella (lol) Dude sho can preach, though!!!!

JR... I'll most likely see Oliver's dad over the holidays. He usually comes down from Monroe and preaches at a special Christmas program at the Grandfather's church in Sicily Island. Dem some preaching and sanging folk... Oliver, Jr. might get the call and not make it back for yall. (lol).

LOL @ Mike Bigg. Hopefully he will come back for his last year. The kid can play. We only lose Stewart(must be who GR is talking about being bright skinned) who was hurt alot and Trent Thomas who moved over from TE. We should get back O6 starters Chinyoung, Banks, and Buckner who didn't play this year. Everybody else that started or played will be back. Basically Banks will go back to his position that Thomas had to slide in for. I am glad that kid made All-SWAC. Folks laughed at us moving him to Tackle. He rarely gave up anything on his side of the field. That Zone Blocking scheme is designed for athletic linemen anyway. No more big uglies for SU I don't believe as long as Nivens is the OL coach. I like what he did with the 7-9 cats he had left. Wait till he is full up with kids next season.

Oliver came to SU as an uninvited walk-on. His dad emailed me and I told him that I would talk with Cliff Lewis (which I did on the next day). When I talked with Cliff, he said "Oh yeah, he's been by already... " They take that assertiveness from their grandfather... not afraid to ask for what they want and gonna give their opinion whether you want it or not. I don't know why some people can be so biggity (lol).

Oliver was a 200lb walkon who wouldn't back down or give up. I remember when yall had to throw him out there as a redshirt freshman one year and he got his azz whupped all over the field... but he never backed down. Guess he took that from his dad, who never won a fight in his life, but he never backed down from one either. Good people, good family so he's got to be a good kid. (Shouldn't have come down here mongst yall yellas).

Well those are the kind of kids I like. Those who work hard and play with some conviction. You can come in with all the accolades in the world and not be worth a damn. This kid is a Pete type player. Nivens has gotten them to play with a nasty dispostition like he did when he played. BTW, he will be alright with us yellas. We'll send him back up to North La with him a nice yella woman to be his future first lady of the church.:lmao:

Man don't do that... you know dem yella gurls likes us dark boys. How's that saying..."the darker the bark, the deeper the root"!

GR hopes the linemen you had this year do return next year. Them cats was so sorry. we are going to dominate them yet again.

JR

are you ready for another white out?
you do realize next year is an even # year right?
We bout to three in a row that ass just like Hughes use to do

Yeah they were so sorry we lead the conference in offense. Oh well.

Just face it GR, SU is going to be real good next year. You know it and I know it. Just worry about replacing the Corey Clarks, Daniel Brooks, Jimmy Olivers and Jaymar Johnsons of the world.

We lose less than yall do. 9 Starters on defense are back. 8 on offense. Not many Sr on this years team. But of course in your eyes we are sorry as hell and can't play a lick of ball. So why even explain anything to you.:lmao:

We lose Edwards, Jackson, Abney from among the receivers...and Cockrell (center), Edwards (LT), and RG (Karim) on the offensive line. Broadway took a gamble and redshirted the offensive linemen signed last season...most of them had impressive high school accolades. Defensively, we lose Banks (NT), and Scoggins (DE)...the other tackle Matthews and DE Anthony will be back. Both starting linebackers return...but will be pushed by true freshman Robert Cook and true Soph Derrick Johnson. In the secondary we lose Zaire Wilborn and also DeMichael Dizer who missed a lot of time due to a groin pull against PV that nagged him all year. Another key loss will be punter Tim Manuel who has been steady and dependable all 4 years.

Actually, this was the rebuilding year for us... Broadway redshirted the bulk of the class from last year (except for Warren and Walker). We have a lot of speed among the young receivers but they don't have a lot of game experience.

JR, I keep on tryin to tell you that you don't stand a chance against JSU as long as Comegy and Pete are on the sidelines. Comegy can coach and recruit better than Hughes and Pete could not even handle Hughes. You gonna lose in Jackson by a SOLID 2 TD's this time. You know Comegy got replacements for everyone you mentioned. Oh well. Trae Rutland is gonna light you up.

You also lose Broadway and all of his coordinators. WOW!!:smh:

Please bring them scrubbs on offense and defense back.
Its going to be hard to replace Clark...but he stood on the sideline a lot
Brooks wasnt our best pass rusher...check the stas
Jimmy is already replaced
Its going to be hard to replace Jamar, but Im sure it will be done....oops....McLaurin (our best WR) will be back next year....oh well.

Catmendue, see that's the difference between my words and yours, my word brings clout, while yours bring doubt.
I guess it dont hurt to start early, seeing how there wont be one JSU poster after Saturday until Spring practice starts in March. The person that started this thread gonna hide the longest.:lmao:
