Someone may have mentioned this; but one problem is with these TV contracts for the big schools, they have more money, which means more money to recruit (read better players). I think that these TV contracts can go back to the suit that Georgia and Oklahoma had against the NCAA in 1978 on the TV contracts.

On Lewis Tillman he was a part of at least three playoff teams with the Giants and won a Super Bowl ring in 1990.

Exactly. None of that stuff stroke mentioned had any impact. Also, the WORLD is just different. With expanded cable, internet, radio, etc... people can stay home and not travel to games.... I hate the potential of JSU-Valley being played on Thursday but 10 years ago, we didn't have games on ESPN.

I don't travel to games anymore because of the product on the field. When I listen to the games on the internet, I just shake my head imagining how much money I would have wasted if I would have attended. THe SHC is normally a good barometer for me if I want to bother planning a trip.

Well I will be there this year...now anything after that depends!
