Can men & women be true friends?

On the Micheal Basiden show yesterday they were talking about can Men & Women be true friends? Most people stated no because some type of physical attraction is what started the friendship to start with. I think you can be friends without wanting to knock boots. What about you?

You can butttttttttttttttttt.....usually there is an attraction there by at least one of the parties involved then after the attraction the friendship is a beautiful thing.

wanting & doing = 2 different things

Question: Friends without wanting to knock boots?

I guess so if one of the parties involves finds the other unattractive.

But this begs the questions about can they be friends over time without wanting to knock boots?

Only if the unattractiveness remains the same & no other ulterior motives arrive.
i.e. money, stability, desire to fit into society, etc.
