You have known since Sept 1 you didnt have a defense. 17 points to Howard - who has 'really' been an offensive machine, 36 points to Miss Valley (who managed all of 17 against Prairie View this past weekend, and you let a little QB from AAMU pass for over 300 yards against you -and they are still trying to figure out what to do on offense.) That is a great pep talk you are trying to give the fella alums but there is no silver lining.
You guys had all kinds of help yesterday - and if you are honest you know it. We didnt capitalize in the first qtr in the red zone - otherwise it would have been 21-0 (we turned the ball over on downs inside the 10 a yard short of the first down), the clip on the punt return - and it was a clip, err'body was lookin at the guy from 'Bama State that got wiped out on a block -that was a clean block, the clip happend right before that. That EXTRA TIMEOUT in the 4th quarter that allowed you guys to stop the clock- the EXTRA TIME put back on the clock on the last drive, the 12TH man on the field on JSU second touchdown.
And one hint to your special teams coach - ummmmm he needs to move his punter back about 5 yards - the punter is not supposed to be even with the 'up man' lol - but thanks for the 2 punt blocks.
