This is not the first time that a African country was able to pay off their debts (it is still a great achievement), but the problem has always been that those leaders are often taken out or replace (which leads the country back into debt).
I like Zimbabwe's trading partners. African nations make up 80% of their imports and and about 65% of their exports. African nations are also in the majority, of their top five trading partners, on both sides of the equation. They need to work on their trade deficit, but that will probably remain the same for a while.More Excellence, different African Country….. ZimbabweDeath attempt? Can’t say surprised!

I bet they're being colluded against by former colonizing nations and the west. What they pay top dollar for elsewhere they likely have organized to pay just a fraction of that to African nations. With small margins generated from sells the revenue is not adequate to make capital improvements. If that is the case, then maximizing mining will be a constantOne issue from the outside looking in, is it appears they haven’t figured out a way to maximize mining their minerals.

One solution I see is for African nations to sell to black westerners, Americans and Canadians, that understand wealth building and the importance generational wealth. Not at top dollar, but more than the fraction they're getting from the former colonizers.
Hmmm,,,,,,now that I've given it more thought they need to sell to blacks throughout the diaspora that understand the necessity for wealth building.
If only some of us were thirty years younger with the knowledge we have now. The way around the colonizers and the west is to deal through a nation that doesn't trust colonizers and the west no more than we do, China. The only thing that may be an impediment to the last sentence is that old Br’er Rabbit philosophy that the most wicked of the wicked has stolen and adopted. I can see colonizers using trade agreements/embargo once they catch on to destroy that bridge. One would be surprised how petty westerners can be to put choke holds on anything that threatens their perceived interests.
If that car does what he says it does it's a threat to a whole lot more than the car industry. It's a threat to most every mode of transportation that uses oil and gas. Didn't know the Brother who invented it was poisoned already. Certainly hope serious steps have been taken to protect that man.Yea, this young brother has had several attempts on his life with his interesting self determination agenda. Also, the innovative car architect was poisoned in an attempt to take him out as well. I would be very surprised if the latter survive prior to his car making traction in the market. If the car does what he says it does, it becomes a threat to developed countries car industry.
Absolutely, you shouldn't blindly trust anyone. Nigeria was under British rule and still are being influenced by them. Senegal was under French rule and the same is happening as with the British. I will have to look up Cameroon, but its location has me thinking it was a French colony also.I think Africa should be wary of the Chinese too. Three of my neighbors are from Africa (Nigeria, Senegal, and Cameroon). Neither one has anything nice to say about the Chinese. I know China suffered harshly dealing with the West and Japan, but still, Africa just need to be cautious. I'm just saying.

Just looked it up, Cameroon was colonized by the Germans.
Europe and the west has had more than enough time to do right. It's just not in them.
