Re: BRPD: LSU football players may be involved in bar fight

When was the last time you attended an SU football game? You had SU fans booing and wanting to fight the HC.
Coach? Different. Players not so much! Like I said, to each its own. Your opinion and I stated JJ is not good to play at LSU. That has nothing to do with him going anywhere he want but it has a lot to do with going where you are comfortable at. Having success at LSU or any other SEC school is going to BCS bowl games and not Capital One or Cotton's every year. *shrugs*

The only difference is you had black people booing another black person. Hell they even booed the players too. I guess LSU shouldn't have went to Destrahan High and recruited him which resulted in him getting a scholarship. Lets go back and see all of the schools that tried to recruit him.

So white booing black is cool? You want to go back to players getting recruited? Let's take it a look! I don't care if LSU, Alabama, Florida or USC recruited me. If I am going to be comfortable there then maybe I will go, but I know the PRESSURE I will face once I suit up and play on a Saturday. They can recruit anyone they want, but it does not mean, that a player will go there. People have their reasons as to why, they choose a big name school and then a few years later they end up transferring.

Where did I say booing anybody was cool. The point is you up in here trying to play the racism angle an we as black folk do it our own. If you go back and look at the schools that recruited the kid, none of the HBCU's are on there. Why is that? Out of the high the kid had the grades and the athletic ability to succeed at an HBCU or PWC. Your focusing on LSU, but we as black people face racism every day on our jobs and in the communities we live in.

Have they fired Miles yet?

Les got an extension again with flirting with the Michigan job. He didn't get a raise. But his contract buyout if he is fired is pretty hefty. He has two years of not performing before LSU would can him. Les is sitting pretty. Not to mention he would get another job quickly. Got to give it to the Hat Man. LOL.

Highlights from the athletic contracts approved Friday by the LSU Board of Supervisors:

Les Miles

•ᅧExtended the football coachᅰs contract three years to Dec. 31, 2017

•ᅧRemoves annual rollover clause

•ᅧRaises payout should Miles be terminated without cause from $11.2 million to more than $18.7 million in the first year of contract. Liquidated damages are reduced by the amount of compensation Miles would receive each previous year.

:smh: And the State is hurting for cash and they wanting to close other schools, but they gives this guy an extension.

Would be a valid concern, but a rather large portion of his salary is paid by the tiger athlethic foundation (TAF) which has nothing to do with the state. The only way the state gets some of that money will be if TAF donates it or changes their bylaws to dedicate some of it to the state general fund.

These states don't be paying those coaches the majority of their salaries. It is those big name boosters who do through their athletic foundations. That's why these coaches and schools turn a blind eye to all the illegal stuff going on with these rich benefactors who help them hire the big names and keep them. LOL.

That's why I keep telling folks ole Tressel is getting taking care of OSU boosters who still worship him. LOL.
