Broussard to recommend hiring of Dawson Odums

Perhaps the losing will not happen. Dr. Broussard is adamant about his hire and vision. Without vision, the people perish. He is personally vested on this decision and I'm sure he is going to do everything to solidify his endorsements and do what is best to right the ship. He has a few good ideas. Let's just see what happens.

I get it. Comegy is overpaid, underachieves, etc. That has nothing to do with yall messing us this hire. Odums is a career loser. From Clark Atlanta in the early 00's to now, he only coached on losing teams. He won 2 games as Clark's interim head coach in 2004. he had a losing record for yall this past year. What was it about him going 4-5 appealed to Broussard? Just because he was cheap and available on your time schedule doesn't make him a good hire. This is bad SU.......................

One thing for sure is we won't cheat. We have something that your alma mater wouldn't know much about. It's called pedigree. It's not a coincident that we can go to Houston and outdraw you all. :lol: :emlaugh:

Not quite the same...you enrolled at SU from the jump. Beans got "ran't" outta Gram...couldn't hang!
 



Jenkins was negotiating with BCU it seems, but what about James Spady? Folks were raving about how sharp his presentation was and all that and then, all of a sudden he was like Enoch plucked from the face of the earth.

What part of Odums low balled himself don't you get!
 
In short, coaching searches, like recruiting and drafting athletes, is a friggin' crapshoot.

If Odums wins big, then it'll look like a master stroke by Broussard.
If Odums doesn't, well it's only a 2-year deal with a 3rd year option, and Southern will keep it moving.
 
Didn't have a chance to read the other comments. Even though I think Spady would've did a better job than Odums, its seems like SU is showing loyalty, which is not a bad thing. Only time will tell if Odums can run a successful program. He seems like he knows what he is doing, but he will need a better staff. He most definitely will need a better QB to run the offense consistently.
