Brett Farve will sign today.. sources say

If I am not mistaken, I heard either LenDale White and another player make some comments last season. It might even been Bullock the LB.

As far as him outplaying Collins......I didn't see their last game. But I know the Titans just gave Collins a new deal. So it will be interesting to see what happens at the end of the season.

Definitely not LenDale. He was just here a couple of months ago with Vince for Vince's camp.

I talked to one of the Vikings players last month and at that time he was excited about the possibility of Farve joining the team. I interpreted that as Jackson was still a work in progress, and perhaps he must have seen some film of Rosencopters game against the Colts last year. It will be interesting to see how this move plays out.

I guess Houston fans will remember Sage's play for a while.

I don't think so. Even if Collins flops, Vince will not be in Tn much longer. He was never Jeff Fisher's choice in the first place. Bud Adams wanted Vince. Not only that, his team aint feeling him from what is being reported. So I think Vince will want out after the season and the Titans will not want to be on the hook for his escalator clause in his salary that kicks in for the 2010 season. I actually don't think Collins will flop. He will manage the game and not take too many chances. Plus they aint good enough to win the AFC anyway in my opinion. I would not even be shocked if Fisher goes after Lienart from Arizona....the QB he really wanted before he got overuled by Adams.

Fisher likes that conservative offense-sometimes to a fault. Anyway, if the Titans run the ball well, it will protect Collins at quarterback.

The have a helluva OL for run blocking. However I think they are overated as far as their pass blocking is concerned. But definitely they aint a sad OL.

I have had problems with their pass protection schemes. The late Jim Johnson had to love it when the Eagles played the Vikings last season in the playoffs.

LOL. Well you know there is a rumor around the NFL that U of Texas players are very coddled and spoiled. Hence, having hard time adjusting to the NFL. I remember hearing that on the NFL network during the combines.

Vince was a great college Qb who had a good rookie season. So I think he thought everything was easy and didn't work to get better. Plus you could see the arrogance coming. I remember him saying when Donovan was talking about being extra hard for a black Qb in the NFL.......that he didn't see it that way. I wonder how he feels about that now.

When Young and Texas A&M's Reggie McNeal were playing college ball in 2005, I said that I would rather take McNeal than Young. Well, Texas A&M goes 5-6 while the Longhorns win the national title. Jafus kind of did not let me forget that.

Anyway, I said that because Young would look at his first option and then run while McNeal would look at his second or third on a pass play. I hated it that McNeal was drafted as a receiver because he was a quarterback first and foremost.

As for the Longhorn players being coddled, it would not shock me. Consider this. I remember when Chris Simms was interviewed each week by Dan Patrick when he was at EPSN. After a while the interviews ended, and Patrick wondered why. Word was then that the UT-Austin players were coddled and pampered. However, the former Texas A&M players under R.C. Slocum were credited by NFL coaches as being well taught, coached and prepared.

Back to Vince understand that he was the number one high school player as a senior. He is used to being number one. I will bet that he remembers what happened to Steve McNair in Nashville (being booed even though the Titans were leading in a game) and what McNabb said. One should watch what they say and when they say it.

The NFC North has become the QB division. Favre, Cutler, Rodgers and Stafford/Culpepper. It went from the black and blue division to the wing it and sling it division.

Nah......don't bet on that. Brett aint one to teach Qbs. Plus he is a gunslinger type that you really do not want your young Qb to mimic. One of the reasons McCarthy got tired of him in GB. It widely known that Brett didn't try to help Rodgers at all there. Not to mention Childress is trying to save his job here and the fans up here have turned on TJack and Childress knows he can't run him out there anymore. The veteran players echo the same thing Stroke said. You can tell they don't have confidence in Jackson. I talk to one Viking in particular pretty regularly.

Jackson will either get let go before the season or soon afterwards. And if the Brett Favre experiment goes badly.....then expect Childress arse to be fired immediately. Because the only man disliked more than TJack around here is Brad Childress. The fans absolutely hate him here. The nickname for TJack here has gone to TJoke......it aint pretty up this way Juke.

Dayum.. that sound like some old Saints isht .. hiring Mike Dikta just to keep fans interested.....

Simply drafted as a last Chance to Keep McNair... nothing more, nothing less

Naw, that was Norm Chow, who was the Titans' OC at the time, who wanted Leinart. Fisher really wanted Cutler, he even told Shanahan to draft him. I'm not convinced Vince is completely out the door, Bud Adams is still high on him, and he won't be released or traded without his approval. Regardless there's no way both Vince and Kerry are both on the roster next year.

Leinart is on record saying Fisher(USC Alum) and Chow wanted him and he thought he would be drafted by them and was shocked they didn't. Pete Carroll thought it as well. That was the reason Fisher brought Norm Chow in there in the first place that off season. Notice that Chow is no longer there. Fisher had to fire him because of the friction between him and Young.

Cutler was the Nashville Fans choice since he played at Vandy. Young like you said was strictly Bud Adams and former GM Floyd Reese's choice. Reese and Fisher were fighting for power and when Fisher contract came up.......Bud Adams decided to give Fisher more power which meant the end of Floyd Reese who was the architect in drafting McNair. Adams tends to listen to Fisher now and he is getting up there in the age thing. So Vince aint safe over there. Fisher has a lot of power now in that organization since Reese is gone.

They just signed Collins since he was a FA this off season. So I doubt Adams will want to pay him and Vince all that money. Vince has more money about to kick in if he is on the Roster in 2010. Collins is too old to trade, so I look for Vince to be moved to another team before training camp next season.

LOL@Frat. Aeneas is patiently waiting for his call from the NFL HOF so he can join other SWAC legends. But you are right. He shole sent Steve Young to retirement with that hit.

Frat.:)
I'm serious.

This Brett Farve on again off again crap has to be stopped.

:scared::lol:

Man, I think there will be some headhunting on Favre.....but you know how the NFL is now. You can't touch the Qbs and you know Favre aint going to be running around too much. I know if I was a defensive player and now know that he has a partial tear in his rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder.. I would target that area to take him out. LOL.

Heck, he better watch TJack and Sage Rosenfels. They may accidently hit him with a football or trip him on the practice field. They interviewed them dudes up here last night and both are like this>>>:upset::kaioken::mad:

They had no intentions of keeping McNair. Remember they locked him out of the training facility.

Exactly. They wanted no parts of McNair. It became a money thing. Bud Adams has never been a spend thrift owner. Notice he don't go out and get big name free agents and he let Haynesworth roll on to the Redskins for that big contract.

They knew they were bringing in a new Qb when they locked Mac out. They just couldn't agree on Young or Lienart and we know how Adams like sticking it to Houston even though they passed on Young......it was no way he was going to. LOL. I remember that draft and you could tell Fisher was not happy.

Farve is just as bad a Pete Rose was here in Cincy when he decided he wanted to break Cobb's record. He kept hanging around and hanging around, and Marge Schott went and got him, made him manager so that he could keep getting opportunities to break it. Mind you, Schott made money off the deal. but with Farve, this on-again, off again mess is silly.

He didn't burn up the league last year. At least McNair knew when he was done.

Regards.

Wow...so if things dont go right for Vince Young this season will he be obtainable? Because that looks like the Vikings next hope....these guys are looking desperate.

Vince needs to get his head out of his a$$ and stop acting like some spoiled 3 year old who drop the top scoop of his ice cream cone in the sand. The NFL is a business and a B-I-G BUSINESS at that.......he is a professional and he should act like one and produce..........and quit reading his college press clippings or worry about whether the fans are booing him or not.

Let's face it Vince IS NOT Marlon Briscoe, James Harris, Doug Williams or Steve McNair
