Leave old folks alone. If they cant remember what team their team is playing, what make you think they gonna remember that there's another thread about this already? :smh:

I think this is a busted move - not just the Vikings but any team that would have signed Favre. When Favre throws those critical multiple ints during the games everyone will then be saying he shouldnt have come back.

In terms of TJack - I will be the first to say he hasnt lit the league up but at the same time I dont think TJack has been put in a position to succeed. Run AD on 1st down, run AD on 2nd down - come 3rd and 4 or 5 - everyone knows that if he is under center, its going to be a roll out - or if he is in the shotgun its going to be a out pass in the flat. The play calling is soooooo predictable. And if Shanicoe does not drop TD in the second game and another dropped TD doesnt occur - does Gus even get off the bench last season?

Beans......
You certainly are one to talk......:lol::lol:

The story made the Headline of USA Today and I guarantee you it'll be the lead story on every sports show tonight..........It needed to stand alone. The reasoning is a lot more logical than some of that isht you post......:lol: Peace.:lol:

Wow...so if things dont go right for Vince Young this season will he be obtainable? Because that looks like the Vikings next hope....these guys are looking desperate.

No way. Young aint coming here. He can't even operate a non West Coast offense. LOL. Don't be shocked if they try to draft Tim Tebow next year. Alot of folks think he will drop in the draft anyway and certainly behind Colt McCoy and Bradford from OU. Possibly even Jevan Snead from Ole Miss.

If they go for a current NFL Qb, I can see them trying to get whomever loses the Cleveland Qb derby between Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson. Also look for Matt Lienart to be ready to roll soon from Arizona. He looked pretty good the other night. But Kurt Warner will start these next couple of years and Lienart may not want to stay that long.

Vince may have to look to go home to the Texans where the fans still love him. LOL

Nah......don't bet on that. Brett aint one to teach Qbs. Plus he is a gunslinger type that you really do not want your young Qb to mimic. One of the reasons McCarthy got tired of him in GB. It widely known that Brett didn't try to help Rodgers at all there. Not to mention Childress is trying to save his job here and the fans up here have turned on TJack and Childress knows he can't run him out there anymore. The veteran players echo the same thing Stroke said. You can tell they don't have confidence in Jackson. I talk to one Viking in particular pretty regularly.

Jackson will either get let go before the season or soon afterwards. And if the Brett Favre experiment goes badly.....then expect Childress arse to be fired immediately. Because the only man disliked more than TJack around here is Brad Childress. The fans absolutely hate him here. The nickname for TJack here has gone to TJoke......it aint pretty up this way Juke.

Farve said it out loud that he was not going to help develop Aaron Rodgers. he basically said that it was not his job.

Despite the my lack of being in the Land of the 10,000 Lakes as an adult, I am not surprised on how critical Viking fans can get. It may not be Philly or New York City but can feel like those places. Many of their fans, whether they are old enough, will tell you that they can remember the Super Bowl years. Those are the kinds of teams that many expect.

Look at an earlier post of mine about Farve. I am thinking about the same things that you are when it comes to interceptions.

I agree about their play calling. Even with Farve I do not see them winning the NFC.

I talked to one of the Vikings players last month and at that time he was excited about the possibility of Farve joining the team. I interpreted that as Jackson was still a work in progress, and perhaps he must have seen some film of Rosencopters game against the Colts last year. It will be interesting to see how this move plays out.

They better sign Vick after this year is up. LOL!!!!!!!

Well his number will be available if they get rid of TJack. LOL. But I doubt they will bring him here. I got a feeling if Philly thinks Vick is doing well after this year. Then they have a bargain with him at 5 million and I can see them letting McNabb go. Especially if McNabb don't deliver them a SB this season and Vick looks good.

Vince will be the regular starter in Tennessee by the end of this season. Kerry Collins is about to revert back to his old self as usual.

"now they got me out here Bret Farve'n..." I aint mad at him. Quarterbacks have been a hot topic all summer...

I don't think so. Even if Collins flops, Vince will not be in Tn much longer. He was never Jeff Fisher's choice in the first place. Bud Adams wanted Vince. Not only that, his team aint feeling him from what is being reported. So I think Vince will want out after the season and the Titans will not want to be on the hook for his escalator clause in his salary that kicks in for the 2010 season. I actually don't think Collins will flop. He will manage the game and not take too many chances. Plus they aint good enough to win the AFC anyway in my opinion. I would not even be shocked if Fisher goes after Lienart from Arizona....the QB he really wanted before he got overuled by Adams.

DId the Vikes really have a O-line for any qb?? like i mean really?

~_______~

The have a helluva OL for run blocking. However I think they are overated as far as their pass blocking is concerned. But definitely they aint a sad OL.

I can be almost certain that his teammates are with him. You may be right about Fisher to an extent but I've never heard or read anything about his teammates not supporting him.

With that said, Vince completely outplayed Collins this week.

vince young has female emotional issues..

LOL. Well you know there is a rumor around the NFL that U of Texas players are very coddled and spoiled. Hence, having hard time adjusting to the NFL. I remember hearing that on the NFL network during the combines.

Vince was a great college Qb who had a good rookie season. So I think he thought everything was easy and didn't work to get better. Plus you could see the arrogance coming. I remember him saying when Donovan was talking about being extra hard for a black Qb in the NFL.......that he didn't see it that way. I wonder how he feels about that now.

If I am not mistaken, I heard either LenDale White and another player make some comments last season. It might even been Bullock the LB.

As far as him outplaying Collins......I didn't see their last game. But I know the Titans just gave Collins a new deal. So it will be interesting to see what happens at the end of the season.
