Cooning for who igga? For Black folks? They have every right to be sent home too. Let 'em quit on their school, fans and administration. Hell, why don't you suit up and at least win ONE game, then talk.

Cooning for nonsense dude....This is bigger than Football....it's a principle and level of respect that should be brought in this situation folk...

Oh, so performance on the field determine whether or not the school addresses issues within the program?

What about the contract they signed before? They made their case, but these guys are taking it to another level without waiting to let the administration right the situation after they've made their stand.

This will definitely affect Grambling all the way around, as well as our conference. So, is it just the Missouri Classic and the Circle City Classic that the players are complaining about? Have they been missing meals the entire season? Have they not had enough supplements to take the entire season? Hmmmm.... Regardless of the team's performance, they should remember that they are at Grambling to receive an education via scholarship to play football. A contract has been signed. And I think they should be treated like the real world. If you choose to not operate within the terms of the contract or forfeit it's obligations altogether, then the contract is now void. Scholarships should be revoked and cash money should be paid if they wanna finish the semester and get credit for it to transfer out. Just a spoiled, entitled generation if you ask me.

THIS. Has this been going on for two years??? Why now.... if the floors are torn up now they were torn up in 2011 too. I think firing doug made this jump off.

Is it small-minded when players quit on their fans, alumni and administration? Seems like they've made their case, but it also seems like they don't have a leg to stand on when they haven't won a damn game in two years.

I understand what you are saying but that does not justify kicking them out of a school that they have been academically accepted to. Plenty of people quit the team and pay for their own way through school

Idiot, this has nothing to do with cooning. Where are the White folks in this?:smh: You just use stupid words just for the hell of it.

Why would you kick a student out of school for not participating in an athletic contest?

He can come back when he got his money right, but you signed that scholarship to playball. Them kids playing hardball now, that games goes both ways, both sides get a chance to pitch. I understand the initial action, I can feel boycotting practice, that got everyone's attention, but not showing up for a game. If you ain't gonna show up in Jackson, don't show up in Grambling either til it is resolved. You said you don't like the food, hope they feed you better at home.

They're not spoiled or entitled. They're risking a lot for the greater good. Players on Twitter have said theyre boycotting to create change that would allow those after them to have better. I support them.

Ok...Cooning doesn't always involve white folks dude..Lol...you can't be this.....small thinking

If kids are willing to lose their scholarships for something they believe in, that is not necessarily a bad thing. This might be the beginning of a national player uprising.

The players have the support of all the students, who also expressed their displeasure with the administration.

If all these stories about them not feeding these kids, and other things are true, then I support the players on this. This is much bigger than a damn football game.

They signed the scholarship and the scholarship can be taken away (next semester atleast, at this point they have paid for everything). You can possibly force them to pay the money back in the future. You should not try to kick them out of school.

Well, if you want radical change, you have to do radical things.

I am not condemning for what they believe. However, there is a place and time for everything. Right now this is not the right time to boycott.

Why is it not the time? If these kids wait until after the season, they will get blown again. They are protesting and boycotting what affects Grambling the most.....the love of football.

Ok...Here's something folks hadn't thought about...that's on this take their scholarships away

WHO IS GOING TO GRAMBLING AFTER THIS?? Would you send your son to play football after this hits national news???

I support what they stand for. I do not agree with how things are transpiring. I'm not at Grambling, so I don't know all the details. But from the outside looking in, I believe this is really about something else. I wonder would they be complaining about these said things had they won a few games this year.

Kids still going to Penn State.

I'm in support of the players boycotting if things are as bad as they say they are but don't act like you wouldn't be made if this was your homecoming game or bayou classic.

Wow... Ignorance is surely BLISS!!! Dude.. I have this strange feeling that if it was another school other than JACKSON STATE your views would be different.. I are speaking on emotions and your Homecoming.. Don't you understand this is bigger than Homecoming...

This is a Sad situation.. and It needs immediate attention.. NOT for the sake of blaming these kids for messing up JSU's homecoming, but the Grambling State and its woes...

I pray that this is handled. GSU's Alumni needs to Stand UP!!! There are some unfortunately, who really don't care and refuse to assist their Alma Mater.. Now that is something to be upset about.........................

As a Gramblinite, I must say............you are a VERY wise man!!!!
