Braxton Miller out for 2014 season

Kenny Guiton is from Texas also. His dad was one of our coordinators when I was in high school.

Yep. I just knew Braxton was going to get hurt again. He had not practiced all spring or summer really. It's actually better he goes down now than in the season.

I think Mariota will win it. The Pac 12 is stronger than the Big Ten right now plus Oregon plays Michigan State and if Mariota wins his conference and beats Mich State handily. I think that may get him over the top.

Ohio State schedule is easy. Especially now that Va Tech has fallen off. A few years ago it would be a good OOC game. I am still not knocking them. Navy will not be any pushover in Baltimore either. They will play you hard. No matter who you are. They make folks earn their victories. Even if you blow them out. It ain't easy.
Cincinnati looked liked a good team for an OOC game too before Brian Kelly rolled out to South Bend.

I know you are watching this ND scandal. I think Kelly is gone to the NFL after all this stuff. No way he turns down a chance to coach. This is your chance for Jerry Jones to get him this offseason.

He hates Ohio State. So he will say if he was good, he would have went somewhere else other than up North. LOL. Guiton was a good player for my Buckeyes. North Side kid. The Buckeye Nation loves that guy. He will be forever taken care of when he is ready to come back to C-bus.

As they should. I don't think they can do it with a R-Freshman either. I do think they can win the Big Ten though.

Guiton was a Sr. He was Tressel's last signee. Ironically that kid was headed to PV from Houston Eisenhower I believe if Tressel had not signed him. He backed up T Pryor his Freshman year and then Braxton showed up the next year and took over and he backed up Braxton the next 3 years.

Barrett is a cross between Guiton and Braxton. I just had told Get Ready a few days ago that Braxton would get hurt this season like he always does. GR told me nah, that he was going to win the Heisman. I got to check to see if there was a GR sighting in Columbus yesterday. GR done struck again.:scared:

Well the Barrett kid is from Texas. So we will see if he can stay healthy. Urban been recruiting a bunch of down South kids. Got another black QB that will redshirt this year from GA and is targeting that Torrance Gibson kid from Florida for 2015. I think Urban has only offered one white boy a schollie to play QB since he has been back in Ohio. LOL.

The problem was Luke Fickell. He was not a good D coordinator. Urban only let him stay at DC because the alums liked him and he kept the ship afloat after Tressel got let go. That's why Urban brought in another guy to be the Co DC this year and kind of demoted Fickell. Ohio State is normally physical on defense. They will be very physical this year. Mich State's coach is Tressel's former DC when Ohio State played Miami for the NC. So he brought that physical style from Ohio State to Michigan State.

Defense will be Ohio State's strong suit this year. Urban's players are fully on the field now on that side of the ball. The remnants of the old regime are gone now. The DL is going to get after folks.
 



Ohio State will be fine. JT Barrett will thrive in Urban Meyer's spread offense. I look for them to still win 11 games. Folks ragging on their schedule, but it's not their fault Virginia Tech fell off. Cincy and Navy aren't exactly pushovers either.

OSU has a respectable OOC schedule. Kent State is a pushover but you can't count out Cincy or VT. With Navy running that triple option, they can be dangerous.. but you know that :snicker:.

He is right though. Their OOC schedule is better than a lot of Power 5 schools.
