TP no one remembers people who almost win but that person or entity. True JSU has represented the East often but only managed 1 win, that's all what people are saying. Almost is not good enough in organizations who have historically won championships but it seems you accept it to feel good and feel validated. The factor of the matter is JSU is in the same boat as A&M and UAPB as far as SCG wins; those are the facts without the sugar coating I know it hurts due to the history of JSU but it is what it is. I know we at GSU hate coming up short because we are used to winning and we don't accept losing but we will never stick our chest out about just making it to a championship game and almost winning. Phi you're just allowing your pride get the best of you, like many of the JSU faithful.

Dude please. Had Doug had the same record as Comegy when he was at Grambling the second time, he'd still be the coach.
You mean having eight seasons averaging eight wins per season is the same as having a team that averages five wins per season? Are you kidding?!
That's like saying if you can't have a thousand dollars, you'd rather have zero dollars, rather than having only 800 dollars.
Tell us all which would you choose if you didn't get the thousand.

I don't think that's the case, JSB. It's moreso that a # of us are accustomed to being in the midst of an intelligent male w/ regards to a sports discussion vs one who is simply a rhetorical flaming fan :D. So, our expectation level seeking a decently intelligent conversation is entirely too high as we drop down to ol' boys' (several) level and engage him and others there. We are guilty of giving a few the benefit of doubt but in all actuality, we need to learn to continue to look down @ these types of people and avoid them @ all costs, including conversation. I'm stepping on my own toes as I give that innocent speech up there ^^^^^^^^. :( smh

I honestly don't think TP gets anybody "uneasy" or "stirred up". TP is comical. I like for him to have the floor to see just how ridiculous and nonsensical his posts can be. He post schit that nobody believes (like OMJ being a great coach) He is taken about as seriously as Baghdad Bob was.

Dude, JSU is a respected program. ..and we are NOT in the same boat as AAMU and UAPB. U know we are not. UAPB is like 2-6 vs JSU in the last 5 years and AAMU is 1-4. Just like Alcorn is 1-4. We lack ONE thing.. multiple titles. They lack a WHOLE lot more than that. And where did I say we accepted losing? We fired our coaching for not winning but I bet no other school would have fired coaches under the same circumstances. Had Jones gone 8-3, 9-2 and went to two SCGs losing in OT, his job would be secure but AAMU is NOT Jackson State.

I get everyone stirred up because I only tell the truth and they hate seeing the truth. Look at how liljr1919 did a WHOLE essay on stuff i never even said.. LOL

You all know why I stay on you all. It's because you all say stupid stuff. How is Valley gonna make noise in the EAST? They have NO coaches, little talent and Comegy is not an X and O coach. Under Comegy, Valley took us to OT and we beat them by VERY small margins (like 2-3 points). They just got that one play last year that made the difference. So please don't be fooled by the win over JSU. Valley will be the worst team in the conference .. PERIOD. Comegy is gonna get out of there as soon as he gets 10 years in the MS system. Which should be in 4-5 months.

I can't wait to see my G-Men hit the field this season, but I will be following A&M, JSU and Valley this year as well. I am a fan of coach Spady and believe he will eliminate a significant amount of A&M's woulda coulda shoulda stories by finishing some jobs on the field. I really like JSU's roster and can see them being the best in the East of the old man has the gas to throw on their fire. I work with plenty of JSU alums on the Gulf Coast and they want to win badly. There is nothing wrong about that. Valley, who is led by one of the greatest hidden talent recruiters in the modern era, have been quite about the track stars they have added to their defense. Valley should be very excited about the type of players that they are getting right now.

OMJ does not have to put gas on any fire. OUR players want to win. Those boys ain't taking this 5-7 lightly. It's gonna be hell to pay when to line up against JSU. Also, JSU is never a dark horse. We are expected to win. The fact the conference put us at #2 shows that we are a respected program and they know we about to run the EAST again. You all won't believe it but OMJ is MUCH more of a football coach than Hughes and Comegy. The biggest problem OMJ had last year was putting together a staff. He didn't get it all right the first time and I am sure it won't be perfect this time but you won't see 2014 again.. I know some of you all think that Alcorn win was a fluke but you will learn soon enough that it was not. Alcorn couldn't stop us. Alcorn took the lead before the half and what we did we do? Went right down the field and took the lead back. Alcorn took control of the game when Ivy went out. They scored 14 points.. THEN Ivy came back in and we scored our own 14... LOL

Again, take us lightly if you want. I am here talking to facts. You all NEVER talk any football.. only rhetoric. You all are here yapping about nothing.. and have your hopes in a cheating coach that put knives to players throats and have 2 AM practice.. LOL It's ok tho...

You from SU and talking about no defense? LOL Really? We showed you how to beat Alcorn but you didn't have the talent to do it... and we KNOW SUs coaches are bad. No denying that. Again, you all are on here yapping about nothing. You have no idea what the ills of the JSU program were last year.. and for you to post that comment shows your ignorance. There won't be a front 7 in BCF that will touch ours.. PERIOD!

LOL this cat right here...Who are you???? We return our top 4 receivers and top two running backs. Robert Johnson was all metro and didn't play until the end of the season...He is the real deal... 2 players on offense..LOL Defensively we have two of the top DE's in the conference and one was Freshmen of the year and 2nd team all defense. He's moving back to his natural position where he terrorized offenses as a freshmen. JSU back to a 4-3 multiple defense . Nice try....

Team defense no show. All ive seen is Dan and Ivy on offense. Your team will get its first win against hopefully TXSU after that who knows were the other two will come from.
