BOW WOW: DON'T DO IT

BOW WOW TO PLAY DRUG DEALER...WITH A TWIST?

On to the rumors! Bow Wow has done his thing in both the music world and the film world, but it seems that he wants to be a "real" actor now. I heard that the Ohio-born rapper is slated to star as a New York drug dealer in an upcoming John Singleton flick. The catch? The "catch" is that he'll apparently be playing a bi-sexual in the film. Now, this rumor goes on to say that there may be some scenes that will certainly test how serious of an actor he wants to be, if you catch my drift. Ironically, Will Smith went down this route many moons ago in "Six Degrees of Separation."

Denzel advised him not too and Will didn't. So they didn't even attempt to go down that road. I remember one of the directors being a little miffed that Will sought advise from Denzel about it.

What does that say about Queen Latifah and "Set it Off." After seeing that scene she has always appeared to be somewhat Butchy to me.

She's a woman, and that will always be looked at a bit differently...right or wrong.

Yeah, but over the years she has "softened" up here image.
I guess Mabeline can solve everything.

Bowwow looks quite samesexish to me though.

What about Omar that played on "The Wire", his character was a gay gang banger. I see his scarred face on other stuff.

Also look at ole boy on Law and Order SVU. He was on "Oz" doing the damn thing with that other white boy. Actually several of the "Oz" cast are doing pretty decent in Hollywood.

I do agree it is totally different for a woman. I wonder what the fallout will be for them white boys who played in that gay cowboy flick last year.

Maybe if you are a black male you can't go that route. Will Smith's character in 6 degrees was not as bad as some of these gay characters in movies are now.

I think he is gay in real life.

Seriously.

I loved Omar in the Wire! It just never occurred to me that you could be that hard & gangster and be gay. I guess I've only seen that portrayed in prison movies, assuming once they were out of prison they left the bootie alone. :shh:

Gay people rule Hollywood. SADNESS.

I would not do it. Ving Rhames should give him some advice. Denzel realize that image is everything to Black people. The movies are more than about acting, especially for African Americans. And it's few Black actors in Hollywood that realize this (Anglea Bassett,Denzel Washington, Wesley Snipes and others).Fans admire their favorite actors because maybe they see a little bit of their personality in the characters they play.

I knew my mother loved watching Morgan Freeman until he played a character in a movie about a South African prisoner. This prisoner in the movie ate sh!t off a white man's shoe. My mom turn the channel after that and said that she don't ever want to see a Morgan Freeman in a movie again. I tried to get her watch some other good Morgan Freeman movies but she would not watch it. And I would not dare to give her the movie The UNDECIDED(Mr. Freeman's character got his azzed whipped and was killed and his body was displayed in public.) Point though. I can understand actors want to be considered serious thespians, but the movies are not the place to do it. That's what Broadway is for. The movies and TV are for the fans and Broadway is for the actors. Hollywood is a fugged up place now because all these projects with these gay angles are being produced.

Ving Rhames and Wesley Snipes have played gay characters in a movie.

I was kind of being sarcastic about Ving Rhames and mostly the critcisim he received about playing the role he played in PULP FICTION.
