This game just got more exciting with College Gameday choosing to come to Jackson for this game. With everything surrounding it, I think we can expect attendance to be extremely high for this game. Should be nothing short of another historic chapter in this rivalry. Now to the preview.

From what I have seen, this will be a battle of the trenches. Southern has a great D-Line. Those guys alone generate pressure. JSU has improved with their O-Line and they have been doing a great job. That will be a battle to see. I don't trust Southern offensive line against JSU's defense. They are very fast, physical, and violent. McCray is going to have to sit in the pocket make some throws knowing JSU defense is coming. I'll look for Southern to make a lot of underneath throws to get the ball out as fast as possible. McCray lets some balls get away from him and that will hurt a lot vs JSU. JSU has to score in the redzone this week. That has been a huge problem for them. I think Southern will do more North and South running instead of East and West. Southern has a good secondary, that will be another good matchup. My personal prediction is that JSU has too much quality depth. They can fly around on defense and sub in an entire second team if need be. I JSU pulls away for a win

JSU: 28
Southern: 10

Last year JSU had a lot of new faces that wasn't familiar with the intensity of the SU rivalry. Now that they've had a taste i think they'll be dailed in from start to finish.
I would say that and that the team this year is better than the team from last year. The depth, coaching, physicality has all increased. I think they'll realize it once the game starts.

Let's see.

Racial tropes hit on....
Shiftless, unintelligent, immoral.

JSU is getting too much attention for them I guess...so he has to throw some shade.

I fondly remember attending the JSU/Valley game on my birthday in 2018 and to hear Roger Wicker get booed out of the stadium made my heart smile

Hopefully CG doesn't get any bright ideas and invite him on in any shape, form or fashion
