Bobby Jindal

Another thing you have to remember is Ga necks understand that without Atlanta, the state is up the creek. Why do you think they down played the civil rights era? They let Bham turn the dogs loose and pocketed life time money for the Airport. Bama and Sippi necks are not about anything but hate. Believe me I keep up with Ga politics. My family is deep in the mix.
Right, but you'll be very surprised of the Ga necks that wants Atlanta to return to the 60's. Truth. I deal with the Ga. necks that comes down here to do business with the government and that is alot of their feelings concerning this city.

I feel you. I was just on Bankhead two weeks ago, and I was over at the AUC. Believe me a tremendous change. I was there when MLK was Hunter St, so believe me I know the difference. I was there when ATL Public schools had 26 high schools over populated, now it was 6. :shame:
Right!!! And the thing here in Atlanta is "the more I make, the more I can move out to the suburbs" (ex. Alpharetta, Roswell, Peachtree City, Johns Creek, etc..) Well guess what Cee, those people are tired of the long commutes and us moving out there, so they are doing one of two things. Either they're moving back inside the City to the areas of gentrification or they're "trying" to stop us other ways by getting the law involved. (Meaning, if you're walking your dog, police rides up asking you a bunch of questions. You constantly getting pulled over whenever your close to your house.) Things to frustrate you. And for the ones who cant go that far out because you dont have that kind of money, the only far you can go is Clayton County or Henry. They gave the inner city folks home vouchers to get them out and moved them down there where you are. You thinking you're moving out so you dont have to deal with the inner city crime and now the inner city crime is coming to you.

Believe me I know, Ivan Allens family is good friends of my pops. I know to well about politics. I visited them when I was there. The only difference is Ga necks hide theirs a little different.

It's real Cee. I would not tell you what I dont know. If I didnt know it, I wouldnt say anything.

Yep, keep your good eye on Gov. Deal too. That dude have those back room poker eyes. I dont trust him at all.

Google recall Bobby Jindal.

I think that is what separates Deal from Jindal, Scott in Florida, Haley in South Carolina, and Perry in Texas. He is a little smarter than they are in my opinion. Remember. He was one of the 33 southern republicans who did not vote for the extension of the Voting Rights Act to my knowledge.

I am agreeing with a lot that has been said. Understand. Georgia politicians have long been experts in public relations. The state is as conservative as Louisiana. However, during the '60s the politicians did not want what was happening in Mississippi and Alabama to come to the Peach State though there were incidents. Read about Monroe, Georgia in 1946 and Forsyth County in 1912. While Birmingham had Bull Conner, Atlanta had John Inman. Old school Black Atlanta residents do not like John Inman. We know about Bull Conner and have heard about the not so nice police chiefs in the north. We rarely hear about John Inman

Not doubting that, but I'm talking about blacks not being informed of what's going on. Trust, if these blacks here had their heads stuck in the sand "ALL" the time, then this place would be just like home. It took a great deal of blacks (from other states) to come here and bring about some of these changes that you see today, cause most of the blacks that I know from here do have their heads stuck in the sand.

See BB, this is what I was referring too. I understand your point, but those suburban folks are the ones with their heads in the sand. Notice how these kids from the west side wanna come back and help. That is just how we are raised in the Zone 1-4. Now I can't speak for them other areas, but in Zone 1 we are taught differently. By the way the Principal in the article and video is a graduate of Alabama A&M University. Also the sister in law of Mr. College Park. She is also a product of Atlanta Public School System. She attended Douglas where Snake went. We were just raised differently in the ATL before it became commercial. These kids are from the gutter on the westside. Those kids in Clayton and Dekalb have no idea how to survive.

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Every year, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation picks a thousand students from all over the country and sends them to college for free.

This year, nearly two dozen of them are from Atlanta.

In fact, the Atlanta Public School System has the third highest number of award recipients in the country.

However, the students at Atlanta's Booker T. Washington High School are on to something great; when it comes to the senior class, 1 in 50 is a Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholar.

It's nothing less than extraordinary just like the students themselves.

"It's a very overwhelming feeling," said Maya Knight, one of the four winners at the school. "But at the same time, it humbles you to know somebody chose me out of thousands of students to be a Gates Scholar."
Knight wants to own her own animation company and break down barriers for women and minorities in that industry.
Wade Ruff, another Gates Scholar at the school, wants to become an attorney so he can help bring justice to the poor.

"They cannot afford to pay a lawyer," he said. "So they end up with a public defender and more likely than not they end up being incarcerated."

Washington High has led APS with their number of Gates Scholars for three years. This year, however, they tied with Midtown's Grady High School for top honors.

The faculty at Washington sees itself as an extended family, with extended hours.

And that's where Ga is today. Alot of these folks dont realize that ALL this stuff IS affecting them until it reaches their front door step. They see their property taxes rising and they cant pay them, so they get pushed out of their homes. Their school district gets re-aligned and now their kids has to go to a underachieving school that is borderline of getting closed. These things are happening all over this country. It's a strategic plan that is being used to take back the inner cities and parts of the state. Let me say this again for the impaired. "IT'S A STRATEGIC PLAN THAT IS BEING USED TO TAKE BACK THE INNER CITIES AND PARTS OF THE STATES." This just didnt happen by accident. They planned this all along and Jindal is just following the plan that other Repub Governors had set in place for their states. If you check to see what the City of Atlanta is doing that concerns a certain project called "The Atlanta Beltline". Look at what it's all about and where it will run. Then see the areas that they are cleaning up for this project. You will see people getting ran out of their neighborhoods. It's real people.

Your statements are too limiting. Privatization of resources has always been a top global action leading to military intervention. We moved on Libya because of what Kadafi (sp) was doing with the African Union, building infrastructure and seeking control of natural resources. Google the book War is a Racket be Smedly Butler. He is seen as the greatest Marine ever. States are "selling" whole interstates to private companies to allow them to collect tolls. These are roads taxpayers built, paid for and maintained for decades and now they want you to pay to drive across to pay for improvements with no defined time frame. Unlimited cash cows to private companies to drive down a road you already paid for. Now if they want to build a totally new road and pay land owners market rate, that is one thing. This is another. And this is not a Dem or Repub thing. This is a sellout of the people.
