Bob Johnston is no longer a Billionaire

Suge,

Women are delicate flowers of society that should be protected at all times under any circumstance. Bob probably wasnt there to support her emotionally, so therefore he does owe her half of the money he was out making while he wasnt supporting her emotionally.

But the same can be said for you people. You all are quick to say that she(and any other women) deserve the money. Why? I mean using your own logic, YOU don't know these people.....

You people? :smh:

You right! I don't know and could really give a rat's arse who get the money... ain't none of it being deposited into MY bank account!

Regardless of what we may think she deserves, or how we may think he got shafted, the courts thought she deserved what she got, and his ass ain't a billionaire anymore because of it, and they BOTH got a coupla dollars more than I, but they ain't white, so I ain't mad!

Rich or poor

A pre-nup is in order!

Paying of alimony and partition of the community is not the same issue. I explained this before, so I won't go through the legalities but no states enforce "maintaining a SPOUSE in the lifestyle they were accoustomed to".

This is not some onerous injustice mutally exclusive to men. Many women earn more money than men; and many men enter marriages with baby mama drama in the form of child support. I can't tell you how many pre-nuptial/marriage contracts I have executed for women in this situation. We don't want our wages garnished for outside children and we don't want a man to get half of what we earn once we kick them to the curb!

I say everybody return to the position you were prior to marriage, UNLESS you have community property and contributed to the accumulation of the wealth. Like women who put men through law school and med school, like men who pay for broker licenses and support the private practice or business until it gets afloat.

I ain't paying alimony to NOBODY! I ain't paying NOBODY's child support!

I, and most professional, well paid, financially secure women agree with you Suge! :D

I read in the Washington Post late last year where his wife used her money to help him start BET. If that is the case, she is well-deserving of half. She has a horse farm (in VA) and raises horses for her daughter.

Gates remains atop 'Forbes' billionaires list

http://www.usatoday.com/money/perfi/general/2004-02-26-forbes-billionaires_x.htm

NEW YORK (APOnline) ? Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and the founders of the Google search engine have landed on Forbes magazine's annual list of billionaires after a year when rallying stocks and a strong euro swelled the list to the longest it's ever been. ...

...Only six people dropped off the list, compared with 67 who fell off in 2003 and 83 drop-offs in 2002, according to Kroll. One of the notable drop-offs this year was Robert Johnson, the founder of Black Entertainment Television, who lost some of his fortune in a divorce settlement.

That's goody for him, that's what he gets for being so damn cheap. Moving Comicview from L.A. to Atlanta then New Orleans just so he wouldn't have to pay SAG fees or at least scale.
