Blinking and Talking

Have you ever met or talked with someone that when they talk to you or when they talk to a crowd or anyone they blink their eyes rapidly,, almost like they are about to get hit or something? What's up with that?

Yes, I do someone who does that (or something comparable.) At first I thought they were trying to be smart or flippant, I discovered they were nervous.

I blink alot so yes I do know someone who does it. :lol:

Yes, I know an HR lady in Houston who flutters her eyes so much when she is talking it looks like she is talking in her sleep.

She's been in that position for YEARRRRRRRRRRRRRS!

True, I know 2 people with that condition. People are under so much stress these days.

Yeah, maybe it's some kind of psychologocial trait behind the eye-blinking "nervous twitch", but i'm no psychiatrist. :no:

You have to excuse the pscychology thread here, but you guys are like virtual friends/co-workers, but not in my environment that I can ask these questions that I can't ask in my environment comfortably or without offending someone. :nod:

My friends' children, both boys, have Tourette's Syndrome and they do that rapid eye movement and blinking and other repetitious facial, verbal and body ticks. It is very serious and they are one very powerful meds.

man why do they put everybody on meds? I heard this morning about kids being diagnosted as being bi-polar is at an all-time high and medicating them is also a general reaction.
