Seeing Spots
Joyful Woman!
I must see The Last King of Scotland! Hell when it was playing here I thought it was about Scotland, I had no idea it was about Idi Amin Dada. I am going to Uganda in June and I naturally have some "fears" about my stay there. I was in college and law school when he was ruling and then was taken out and died. I remember the raid on Entebbee, in fact there is a movie with that name. It was a massacre at the airport, exactly the same place I am flying to!
I was in Nigerian when there was civil unrest 11 years ago, so I'm not afraid. And Idi is dead! So I should be safe.
The movie portrays just how ruthless he is, but reveals the human side, so I hear. Can't wait to see it! And I definitely hope Forrest Whitaker wins, he is fabulous to me.
I'm going to Rwanda too and I saw all the movies about THAT event too! :smh:
Did you see where 3 songs are nominated from Dreamgirls! I pray Jennifer and Eddie win Oscars also!
