After reading all the posts and the article. I find myself very disturbed by this situation. This all comes from the leadership that we have in this country today. We have a president that is so ignorant that others like him is following in his footsteps. Like Fannie Lou Hamner stated back in the 50's and 60's, "I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired." We are living in the 21st century and so many parents are not teaching their children about racism in this country. Some of them have forgotten that we are where we are today because of MalcomX, Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Meager Evers, Sojourner Truth, George Washington Carver, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and numerous others that sacrificed their lives and some that are still sacrificing their lives for what is right in this country. Some of the four generations of people that are raising children in today's society want to believe that slavery, segregation, Emmitt Till, Jim Crow, and others ills of racism never happened in this country. With this type of thinking they are allowing their children to believe that we all are treated equal. Equality for blacks doesn't exist in this country. I am not saying that all whites, hispanics, or any other ethnicity group of people are racist, but I am saying that blacks are treated worst than any of the people listed above. Katrina is a prime example of that...as a matter of fact, Katrina should be a wake up call for every black person in this country, even if you are wealthy or poor. Kanye West didn't lie whe he said that "Bush did not care anything about black people", he should have just added a little more to the statement and said that Bush doesn't care anything about "poor people." Bush doesn't care about the poor and downtroddened, it doesn't matter what ethnicity you are. :redhot:
