Black college basketball is hella boring as well, espically those games doing the week, and even majority of the rivalry games be boring, people just go to the game to walk around and to be seen, and lord knows when we play a team in the tournment (see mvsu) we get embarasses bad. that just terrible basketball, anytime a team make it to the tournment with a losing record,(see pv a&m a few years back) it just crazy. its got to be a better way.

Enroll at a BIG TIME U like Georgia and Michigan, support them, and you won't be bored with college football or basketball again.

What's next.

This thread is boring.

Let's talk about something else. Hey, I hear Obama has a new Sec. of Commerce. He selected Bill Richardson.

Basketball is far more boring the football (even major college basketball) -- how often do you get back to see any of your university's football or basketball games? If you know people on the team, it makes it far more interesting.

Well until the following happens-you might as well get use to it.

1) Start convincing guys like Romeo, who were Basketball All Americans to come to Grambling to start & play instead of rotting on the bench for an entire year.
2) Don't be like SMU and have the mindset "we are SMU, you don't choose us, we choose you" and wonder why your programs are jokes no matter who the head coach is.
3) Alumni show up and support the schools
4) Get a tv deal where EVERYBODY can se the games-ESPNU is fine, but not all of us are going to pay extra for that. Because there are a lot of kids (maybe not the ones that live in the MEAC areas) that don't know HBCU outside of PV, Gramlbing, Spelman (Thank you A Different World), Morehouse (Thank you Boys in the Hood) and maybe Howard.

...another thread of complaining and griping with no action or solutions. If it's boring, then you are part of the reason why.

That's true! Of the few DISD kids playing college b-ball I know personally one at PV (Mike Webb), Wichita State (Daivd Kyles), Nevada (London "dummy" Giles), North Texas (George I can't even BEGIN to spell that last name!) and I'm keeping an eye on how Romeo does at USC in the limited time he plays.

And that's same in the NBA outside of the Bulls. It's Darrell Arthur and Tony Battie since I somewhat know them.

But that is what is killing college basketball-you don't know who most of the players are since many are from places you never heard of or have seen them play enough to care. I'm here in Dallas and I already know 95% of these athletes will never see a college game. For various reason including that mess at SOC and Roosevelt and our now messed up grading policy. And help us if Kansas has to give back that title because of Arthur.
The SWAC might have waiting list for athletes after everyone else puts us on the blacklist.

i am glad you see the point

Is someone holding a gun to your head forcing you to attend HBCU sporting events???? If it is that bad don't go. Turn the channel. Why do you even post on this board? You do know we are mostly boring HBCU grads.

Why do you all get mad at him for posting his opinion about HBCU sports?

I've noticed this in other threads in this forum when someone states something negative about HBCU's (whether true or not) the responses aren't to the topic but more-so calling the person a sell-out.

Just trying to find out if there's some hidden "message" in the topics/posters...

Is this even English?

The hidden message is that why go to a HBCU board and talk trash about them. That's like me going to your Delta meeting talking trash and not expecting a back lash. :noidea::kiss:
