Black athletes should boycott the SEC?

North Carolina has been racially gerrymandered for over 14 years, though it does not get the attention the other states have gotten (even though the state had to rerun an election because of voter fraud on the GOP side in one district - the main GOP operative responsible unalived himself - thankfully his daughter got to the evidence before the republicans could destroy it and turned in the evidence to the correct authorities).

I think a better move for the NAACP and CBC would have to targeted one university in, as proof of concept to everyone, and they would of had a higher possible chance of success. Remember that one talented young man at Mississippi State was the one who announced he would transfer if the state of Mississippi did not change their flag on social media and others join in organically (this lead to the in state coaches at the PWIs to go the capital pushing them to change the flag).

Yes it is better to target certain schools. Mainly target certain schools based on what sport that they dominate.

Football players boycotting Alabama would have a stronger hurting on the football team than say the basketball or baseball team.

There is not much you can do to damage a SMU or Vanderbilt-because the academic standards screw those teams over way more than anything else.

A BInghamton wouldn't matter because they are still recovering from the damage by black guys in 2009.

It would be better to target certain schools and certain sports.
 
Not only don’t play for SEC schools, but don’t play for any of the other-race schools in confederate states. African American athletes and entertainers have economic power. Nobody is asking them to give up NIL money. They can get the same money from schools in states where there is no voter purge suppression. Essence Festival should move to Detroit or Chicago. Fraternities and Sororities should have meetings outside the south.

The generation before me sacrificed blood and limbs. This generation isn’t being asked to sacrifice a thing. We are now living in an era of Post Reconstruction 2.0— a New Jim Crow. I watched the USC/Alabama football game. Sports can make a difference!

Since voting is transactional, our percentage of eligible voters who vote should be at 90% or better. If you don’t vote, you don’t count, in the words of Vernon Dahmer of Mississippi.
 
That firm better be charging them a high premium. The practice of racism should come with a hefty price tag.

Same for top recruits chosing to play at those schools. NIL offers should only be entertained at an exorbitant rate which will also drive the rest of the NIL market rate up for less heralded athletes recruited by those same schools. Make the schools feel the pain in their pocket books.

Racism, in the case of black folks, is only curtailed by loss of money or property by those practicing it.

It turns out the CBC withdrawing support of the Score Act might loom big if everyone plays their cards right.

It turns out the NAACP making the call against playing for those schools might grow legs organically.
