His reputation has been tarnished forever. Truth be told I don't see him living too long after this. Legal situations are extremely stressful. Everyday you wondering about the what if's and outside of prison there are a lot of what if's. Not saying this is an excuse for criminal activity but just making a point that given his age the stress is a heavy burden.

And folks wonder why people don't speak out about sexual abuse...you have 60 women across DECADES saying the same thing--drugged, sexually assaulted...and folks still thinking this is a setup against 1 man.

I follow your point...yet I have one big issue....if Cosby told these women "here take this it will relax you." Where does personal responsibility come in to play? That was the first response from my wife. She was told never to take any pills from anyone unless prescribed by her doctor.

No from this case where there was a mistrial....he told her to take some pills to relax that will relax her. Now those women from the 60s....I'm not trying to sound rude but some of them were groupies and may be just plain angry now because of where their life is.
Look at the woman who was married sleeping with R Kelly....LOL....hell Bill Cosby when he was on Eye Spy was the man....

You know this is a white girl...taking uppers and downers was commonplace, so I'm sure she didn't think much about that...and I'm wanting to be understood here: being a groupie does not give one license to rape or commit any other sexual misconduct. Groupie indicates they really like you, what you do, etc...it doesn't = free fuck from a disposable person. From groping breasts and stick fingers in vagina while drunk or unconscious to just plain out raping...all are illegal. Don't know why folks act like groupies aren't humans...

c-t when this happened (back in the 70's, 80's) women came to parties and traded sex for drugs. I, for the life on me, cannot think of the name they gave women like that but it was a common occurrence at the "upscale" parties especially among the Hollywood crowd. Sex for cocaine and pills was the thing back then. I think they were called coke groupies or something like that. I am not condoning what Mr. Cosby did but that is what happened in certain circles.

Many of these parties were held at the Playboy Mansion and other "upscale" establishments. Why are they not going after the owner(s) of those places....i.e. Hefner and the like?

I don't necessarily think it is a setup against one man, but I do believe that not all those women are truthful. Not to mention this one in particular. Who developed some kind of Stockholm syndrome calling and bring him gifts after her alleged rape.
My comment was mainly about the mindset of future jurors and how some potential white people may want to convict a black just because they believe he's guilty without knowing any specifics about the case, or because Cosby is black.

Noooooo.....I was not saying that "groupies" deserve being raped...what I'm saying is some groupies are will to whatever it takes to be in the presence of that person. Later in life people have a coming to Jesus moment and I think many of these women did....
What is really concerning to me is that none of these women came up pregnant by Cosby.
Also, if a man raped you I just don't understand why you would go back to him seeking advice. I truly can understand why the jurors are confused.
On one hand I can believe them; but on the other I'm confused as to responses afterwards. Also, I believe if someone does something to you and you agree to a payment amount the record should be sealed forever and no one should be able to view it again under no circumstances.

I get all that...my point is at how much benefit of a doubt is given to this man despite all the women claiming he did this. You can't have 60 women come out and say tPop did this to me without TPop ending up holding up the jail before trial....

I understand....
Many victims of nonconsensual sexual assault later have consensual sex with their assailant. This doesn't negate the assault.
Why? They may: Be conflicted. Think it's their fault. Try to reclaim normalcy. Be in denial
Be afraid. Dissociate. Think they're supposed to. We still accept the notion that sexual assault is what happens in dark alleys to scantily clad women. Not women we know by men they know.
In the end, there two forces at work: rape culture and systemic racism. Some understand the rape culture. Why'd it take so long to come forward, his word against theirs and he has money so it's a scheme to get money, she knew what was going to happen when she was alone with him etc. But the systemic racism complicates things. Minorities sometimes protect even the most flawed among them out of solidarity, many people don't see how a black man could get away with raping a white woman in the 70s so it can't be true, There's a long, deadly history of white women falsely accusing black men of rape, white rapists in Hollywood don't get black balled, so why should he ... The list goes on. Bill Cosby is able to play off of both these for his own gain.

Nah Kendrick I'm not going to ride with the "some" aspect here. If a woman tells me that a man raped her the first time they had sex and she continued to have a sexual relationship which was consensual or associates with him privately when they are not required to throws all types of reasonable doubt in to the accusation of rape.
Now I have heard of husbands raping their wife. Sickening to me.
Yet, someone rapes you but you still go to their hotel room or residence or office when it is not necessary? Something is not right with that. I think thoroughly confused jurors.

Okay c-t, when I was a professional musician we had groupies after us and we were nobodies.....a back up group and an opening act. Our road manager cautioned us about these ladies and I got chewed out more than once for going off spending the night and no one knew where I was. I was also the target for a setup when we played Madison Square Garden...fortunately I remembered the warning and did not fall into the trap.
Once in Gary, Indiana this woman wanted to get with the guy we backed up and to be with him she took on the entire group just so she could be with him. It was wild back in the day. You would have to had been there to understand. What I experienced was no where near the level of Bill and guys like him had exposure to.
Now, having said all of that, I never thought these were bad ladies. As a matter of fact I defended the lady in Gary to the female back up singers traveling with us at the time. Now if one or more popped up today with accusations we'd have problems.

So if a victim of domestic violence continues to associate with their abuser, does that negate the abuse?
And it's not that hard to sway a jury. The Cosby defense team, at one point, argued that the woman couldn't have been a victim because of the way she dressed.

Kendrick if I am on a jury for a man accused of rape and the victim was not married to, living with, or working for the accused but continued to have sex with the accused after the rape occurred I would have reasonable doubt that he raped her. Why continue to go around someone who violated you that has no power what so ever over you. They have no control over your job, money, finances, or general well being.
The example that you gave was a hypothetical to suit your argument.
In your example you did not define associate which as a juror it would be given, nor did not define the nature of their relationship. I was extremely specific.

2. I believe during a certain time period many of the women were popping pills or on some drug.
3. I believe Bill Cosby did screw these women.
4. I believe many of the women went there with the intention of having sex but not being drugged.
I feel #4 is a question that can never be answered.
when jurors asked this question I knew it was going to be an acquitall or mistrial.

The 12 questions jurors asked of the court during deliberations essentially involved hearing the evidence for a second time. The jury's continued questions signaled the possibility of a deadlockon any of the three counts of aggravated indecent assault against Cosby.
One of the questions from Friday was: "What is reasonable doubt?"

Why would jurors ask this question if the case was beyond reasonable doubt. Unless one of us has the entire transcript or jurors do interviews we will never know.
