Called to Serve
If it's not written then He didn't tell us. Whenever Christ was asked a question, He would mostly state "IT IS WRITTEN", or "HAVE YE NOT READ", therefore it is not written and I have not read it. If that be the case, then why are people trying to act as if God doesn't know how to control the very atmosphere "HE" created?
I would encourage you to contemplate some thought prior to posting words. To do what is right or correct does not always requires the "IT IS WRITTEN" statement of approval. A heart toward God will do those things that are not only beneficial to self but serves the greater good of others (thy brother/neighbor); to act in this way is a lifestyle not a checklist of "IT IS WRITTEN" but following the whole council of God, that which is written in the "Bible".
Romans 12:10. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Matthew 22:39. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
I am guessing that you do not understand the sovereign will of God, meaning that God allows thing to happen.
Dr H..
I don't think enough books can be written to scratch the surface of what the "sovereign will of God" really means. Within this resides:
Romans 8:28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Many will jump up with Joy in church when they hear Romans 8:28, but curse God when it is applied. God's Sovereign will is none other than EVERYTHING that happens (both direct and permissive).
-- KJV
Ecclesiastes 7:14. In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
-- Living Bible
Ecclesiastes 7:14 Enjoy prosperity whenever you can, and when hard times strike, realize that God gives one as well as the other--so that everyone will realize that nothing is certain in this life.
