BH123's Opinion: JSU Needs A Coach With A Rod Broadway Personality For Success.

One of my favorite coaches in HBCU Football is current NC A&T Head Coach Rod Broadway. He doesn't make excuses, does not cut corners, and is a straight shooter for the most part. Outside the football field, those who try to get to know him may take his personality as "Cold", but he believes winning cures everything.

With the mentality and culture of Jackson State Football, Alumni, and fans, I think a Coach with a Rod Broadway type personality would be perfect for JSU. If winning is the focus point of the JSU culture, why should a coach be personable with people as long the team is winning? There is however one problem: as with a good number of HBCUs, will the "establishment" be willing to support someone who lets them know who is running things, sort of how like Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones were in the 90s. Are they willing to win with someone who will not be controlled.
 
JSU should have AJ. AJ would win at JSU. Seriously he could get the talent and the tight ends to run his offense.
 



I do not want to see Rod Broadway back in the SWAC. He was 28-4 at Grambling... I don't want to have to deal with a coach like him. I think Coach Fobbs can match up with him and anyone else, but Broadway needs to stay his azz in North Carolina.
 
I just want jackson fired. I personally will not attend another game as long as he is on the sidelines. I can save that money for europe.

Honestly, you guys sound a lot like us with Joe Taylor...we won games with him, and he would have us in the hunt for a MEAC Title, but couldn't ever win it outright by losing some games we had no business losing...so fans demanded that changes be made. Taylor ended up stepping down and...well...now you see where we are.

Comegy seemed to have you guys in the hunt for a SWAC Title on a regular basis...he couldn't have been THAT bad, was he?

The only way I'd want to see him is at JSU.
 
We all and I repeat ALL want Jackson FIRED..We don't want Comegy, We do not need a WHITE COACH we need the BEST MAN for the job...U guys are some sad mofos if you think just because a coach or guy is white they can do the job...COONS!

And yes we would love to have Broadway but I think he turn us down last year! That might have been a rumor but who knows!

Serious... Yall ever consider Doug Williams? Didn't work out for him at Gram the second time, but I'm sure he'd be motivated to get JSU back on track.

They dumb as all outside, that white coach was outcoached yesterday in every facet of the game by a young 1st year black coach
