Team I have no ideal why. All she gonna do is fugg it up more. The only person I heard sing this song that made it sound better than Aaliyah was Countess Vaughn. Countess aint that song up.

please.. Aaliyah COULDNT even sing. If anything Beyonce will make the song sound BETTER. Aaliyah was another Cierra.... her dancing OVERCAME her singing. Beyonce has the total package.

what song showed her "vocal" talent? There aint no Aaliyah song that can match the vocal talent of Beyonce's Dangerously In Love (live version)... all of Aaliyahs songs were "safe" songs.
redoing this song is a step DOWN for Beyonce because it wont show her vocal talent unless she TOTALLY redoes the entire song.
I guess you it is true, that entertainers are always looked as as "better" when they are dead. You definitely cant put Aaliyah in the same boat as Beyonce.
I will admit I wasnt a big Beyonce fan until I seen this performance at the Grammy's..

Now while I will not compare Ciara to Aaliyah.... Aaliyah was a lot better vocally than Ciara... I will agree that Aaliyah was not on Beyonce's level vocally.

But she surely was better than Ciara and in my opinion better than Beyonce voice wise when it comes to the ballads/slow songs. Beyonce may have more power/yelling ability. LOL. But Aaliyah was very talented and had not reach her peak yet.
