Last night, i saw a film that makes BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE (as good as it is) look like a home movie of a trip to a second tier county fair. *No hyperbole here - i'm dead serious.
The movie is entitled THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED. It chronicles the attempt to overthrow the democratically-elected government of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela two years ago and the role that mass media played in it.
It is one of the best documentaries i have ever seen. i sat through it twice and would have done it a third time had the movie house not been getting ready to close.
