Before they announce this weeks POWs....

I'd like to point out that AAMU's Jose' Osorio did not average 46.3 yards on six punts.

His correct stats should be 42.6 on five punts. Note the kickoff credited as a punt on the play-by-play below.

A 1-10 P13 LUKE,Kelcy pass complete to FRANCIS,Kevin for 13 yards to the PVAM0,
1ST DOWN AAMU, TOUCHDOWN, clock 01:57.
OSORIO,Jose' kick attempt good.

PRAIRIE VIEW A&M 0, ALABAMA A&M 21

A 1-G A35 OSORIO,Jose' punt 65 yards to the PVAM0, WALKER,Darrell return 16 yards
to the PVAM16 (SPENCER,Reginal;PYANT,Jacques).
--------------- 5 plays, 50 yards, TOP 00:59 ---------------

Darrell Walker's 16 yards should also be transferred from punt returns to kickoff returns.

I have noticed several examples of errors like this this season.

Who gives a dayum? The season is mostly over and we are trying to start our recruiting early enough to get a jump on the rest of you. Does this even make a difference in his numbers compared to the rest of the special teams players? I doubt it.

Dude, you really have way too much time on your hands.

Hey, what else can I do in the middle of the night when I'm trying to get this kid to sleep....lol

Seriously, I just go through all the kicking and punting every week.

If anybody's curious (lol), here's how I rank them currently:

KICKERS
Anthony Johnson, ALST 86.59
John Heflin, UAPB 81.25
Breck Ackley, SU 77.91
Brian Morgan, GSU 76.54
Guillermo Suarez, TSU 70.00
David McConnell, ALC 66.25
Jaime Salazar, JSU 65.45
Charles McCall, PVAM 65.38
Jose' Osorio, AAMU 64.56
John Zdonek, MVSU 60.71

KICKOFFS
Ashcher Ashley, JSU 25.53
Brian Morgan, GSU 22.22
Guillermo Suarez, TSU 17.86
John Heflin, UAPB 13.73
David McConnell, ALC 12.24
Breck Ackley, SU 8.06
Eric Hernandez, PVAM 5.41
Jose' Osorio, AAMU 5.36
Anthony Johnson, ALST 4.84
Davin Davis, MVSU 2.17

COMBINED KICKING
Brian Morgan, GSU 98.76
John Heflin, UAPB 94.98
Anthony Johnson, ALST 91.43
Guillermo Suarez, TSU 87.86
Breck Ackley, SU 85.97
David McConnell, ALC 78.49
Jose' Osorio, AAMU 69.92

PUNTERS
Andrew Bergeron, UAPB 35.05
Eric Hernandez, PVAM 34.28
Shane Phillips, ALC 32.47
Colby Miller, SU 32.27
Domenick Addison, JSU 31.94
Lance Lane, TSU 30.52
Trey Butts, MVSU 30.43
Mike Bryson, ALST 29.45
Jose' Osorio, AAMU 29.19
Tim Manuel, GSU 26.05

These ratings take several factors into account.

Are they picking all-SWAC this week like usual? If so, it's even more stupid than usual, with the league's two best teams having five games remaining between them.

Since folks usually only consider how many FGs or highest punting average for all-conference, I'm going to predict that they'll name the following all-SWAC:

KICKERS
1st team: Brian Morgan, GSU (worst three-time All-Conference kicker in history.....58% career FG%)

2nd team: Anthony Johnson, ALST (no first teams after going 82% over first two seasons, with three games remaining)

PUNTERS
1st team: Eric Hernandez, PVAM (they always go with the highest average)

2nd team: Andrew Bergeron, UAPB (only other 40-plus punter)

He's ranked #7th in the nation also in 1AA, Bergeron is at #22.

That's great, if average is all you look at. I'm not knocking the guy. I just think the other guy's numbers are better all around.

Don't worry about the haters PNeck, keep bringing the stats. Who knows, you may work yourself into a job in the SWAC office :hat:

Still haven't watched the tape, but talking to him and some coaches, one block was his fault and the other was the line allowing too much penetration. Of course, the PAT was his fault.

I'll share more later, but I'll wait until the season is definitely over.

Surely y'all do know that those kickoffs were intentionally squibbed.....

Of course, we know that.
