Bayou Classic Friday Night Get Together

Over the past few years we have been getting together at Pat O'Brians in New Orleans on friday night before the Bayou Classic. With the BC being in Houston this year, Gramtigress and myself have been looking at places and passing the info on to Kenn. We came up Champps Americana in the Uptown Square (Galleria Area), easy to get to, no cover charge and plenty of room and free parking. She has talked with the manager there and there are no other things going on there that night. So there is no cover charge and it's close but not real close(if you know what I mean) to Reliant Stadium (about 10-15 minutes away) so those that are going to the BOTB can get on I-610 and get there fast. And those that are not going to the BOTB (like me) can get in early and start the drinkfest errrr gathering early.

It's like a Sports Bar & Grill.....

Champps offers a wide range of menu choices and creates each of their 120 menu selections from scratch daily. They also offer the ultimate in entertainment with televised events on multiple big screen TV?s, music played by a disc jockey, karaoke, video horse racing and other various seasonal events

If anyone else has any other suggestions for a place where we can go that would be adequate, lets discuss it.
 
That's cool Fiyah, and I want to say thanks in advance for the work, you and gramtigress put in looking for a spot. gramtigress, tell your husband he has to show his face, I know after the season JSU had it will be hard, but tell him it's all love. :D

Champps is a good place to chill at. I have been to a few of them up this way. :tup:

Thanks for the information but I have a lot on my plate next weekend. Moving into a new place can be a drag. I'll just post the score on here and P. O. my fellow SU posters as always. I just can't wait to see that massacare with my own two eyes. :lol: Stay classy San Diego. :cool:

I would love to meet you guys, especially Jag-BR, PANTHRO and some of the other Southernites that I go at it with. You know who you are. All in fun........
