A draw? Wow, I guess people really do hear and see what they want.
Grambling's band was a HAM (HOT ASS MESS) both athe the BOTB and halftime. And that is so sad, someone needs to do something with them. First, their formations suck...when they spelled out Tiger several bandsmen were missing in G and it looked horrible; some bandsmen wore different uniforms, thus, NO UNIFORMITY which made their appearance sloppy-looking; still can't figure out what the devil they are playing and they are moving a mile a minute looking like ants; when they made the Superdome (AGAIN) there were gaps were no one was in formation and the formation looked like a slice of bread to me. Somebody sitting near me said that's the Superdome.
They really sucked at the BOTB..Lawd I felt so sad and I was seated near some New Orleanians and they were saying STOP THE MEMORIAL SERVICES, we want to forget for a minute and just party. I can't believe the first song they played was Sweet, Sweet Spirit. :scared: Then Yesterday, then later Dr. Panell said the final tribute to the Katrina Victims was next and they played DISTANT LOVER. Damn :smh:
Southern's band played with energy and the crowd ate it up. They were intense and LOUD AS HELL and since I was sitting directly in front of them, I still have bucked eyes from the sheer force of the music. What the Human Jukebox did was indeed EXTRA SPECIAL at both settings.
Just my TWO CENTS.
Everytime SU cranked up the whole crowd was singing and roaring, when *ramblin* played you heard boos and no applause. Completely one sided.
And tell Pannel's ass to leave the playing to the students. Why does he always feel the need to do a solo? He did one again last night...if he wanted someone to play a solo...leave that isht for the current band members. He ass is 30 years remived from the band.
Neither band did too much of sh it at halftime. Southern, please don't fool yourselves...yall ain't sh it. We just were less of sh it than yall are. If it wasn't for the big fat hoes at the end of your boring show, you wouldn't have gotten any house. The dome was 3/4 SU anyway. They were cheering simply on GP. It's the same boring ass show you've been doing all season. Don't hate. You know I'm telling the truth. Halftime was pretty much even. BOTB was a waste of time.

Damn its like that! What did you say when the SU Alphas won the Greek show over your boys?

Too me SU won the halftime of that what I saw on TV. But the GSU percussion section won the DRUMLINE competition of that of what they showed on TV. I played snare drum in the M4(Class of 81') ,and I like cadences that has some "funk". I just throw up when I see Black college's drumlines try to play all the rudiments in one cadence with no "funk" and feel in their performances. Drums are used to communicate a feel, not analyze and show off the execution of rudiments that the general public has no idea of what they are. Keep it simple and funky.
SU has the best dance team.
As a neutral observer at the BOTB Friday night, I would like to say that I was disappointed in the performance of Grambling. Southern came out with a lot of energy as usual. It just seemed to me that Gram just didn't have any "fight" in them at all. They continously allowed themselves to get bullied by SU all night. I was very disappointed. Everyone knows that the crowd is always going to be 75% jags.........so why does it look like the Gram folks are always shocked and surprised when they get booed NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO.
A word of advice for the Gram fans.............Dammit boo SU's arse back no matter what they do. Dammit show some heart. Show some "fight". PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!:flamethro :flamethro
gramblin really played "Distant Lover" as a tribute to the Katrina victims?? I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
WTF was that all about? I don't see the connection at all.
What's gramblin's band director's IQ? Has ta be in the mid to low 60's if he played that schhit as a tribute.
Distant Lover?......damn, damn, damn!
