why not? This dude is serious. He's sharp and articulate.

Is it because he isn't angry enough?

It is time out for that...its time for action. I heard most of his speech today. This dude is about action.

Buddy lee style.

I'm for that.

plus he is black.

I like him. I had a chance to hear him back in Dec 2005 and he connected with his audience. He's smooth and full of confident.

Don't know.
He has not said anything concrete yet.
Plans?..Vision?............Path for the country....Domestic issues?.

Only thing he has repeated is "Troops home by 2009".

I wonder why Alan Keyes never got this much hype from Black people
When He had way more solid ideas than Obama?

I had the chance to speak to him in the gym. Not neccessarily about politics but more just shooting the HITS per se. Obama is cool. Now his wife...sister is REAL! Fine to.

*grabz nutz*

Solid for who? He was an aggitator (sp) who couldn't keep his mouth shut. The only thing that will hold Obama back his war chest. They kill me in the press when they say that black folks don't think he is black enough. Hopefully this isn't the truth. Yaw know that we can be our own worst enemy.

I'd donate a few bucks to his campaign. I hope once the person is nominated to represent the deomcrats, the other person will help him/her out unconditionally.

Al Gore send help

Allen Keyes is a Nut! Go as far to the right as you could go and you will find Allen Keyes out there by himself. He even scares white folks. :smh:

And they proved to him just how much of a nut they thought he was when he couldn't even get support for the senate in his home state of Maryland. Trust me, those of us from Normal's Hill know first hand what a kook Keyes is!

As far as those saying that Obama's only "ideas" is getting the troops out, well, that's enough for me! How many more will be sent over there to die because this current administration doesn't have the sense God gave a wandering goat? How many more lives? How much more money will be put into the that black hole that is the Iraq war?

Even still Alan Keyes is out.

Obama's ideas will come out... the first primary ain't for another year.

ok I gotcha, it just seems a little like Obama is the latest cell phone right now
everybody just on it, and they don't even know why.
Maybe soon we'll learn more.

I see you are believing the hype. My only concern is him appealing to the "red" state white people. If Ford would have won in TN, I think that Obama would have a legitimate chance. I know how those mid to east TN people are. But I was told that Memphis let Ford down because of lack of turn out. Obama's true appeal is that he is the real american dream and folks are eating it up. He's not microwave nor a "rock star". He's put in work at the grass roots level in the inner city so he has the ability to unite the country. Make your decision on what you see from him, not on what the media interprets. We and the counrty can't afford to be simple with the current state of affairs. The brilliance of the dude is that his dirt was out there before he put his hat in the ring. Just read his books. His only draw back with his campaign is that he has a "real" black intelligent wife. She ain't light skin-ded or a redbone (that's what some people call it :smh: , slavery I tells ya is still hear). You know thats not pallitable to the majority.

Maybe you don't read

This is Highlights of his record, a resume of sorts
Nothing about his plans as president.

Highlight, it is! I do read. In other words, a highlight gives you an overview of what is to come.

On my resume I have a "highlights section", that gives the reviewer background information without reading into the MEAT of it fully. For further detail, the remaining portion can be explored.

Considering his formal announcement is only 2 days old, I believe we can obtain further detail soon. That is my opinion.

Now sit down somewhere.
