MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Alabama State head football coach Donald Hill-Eleyand the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced several staff changes for the upcoming 2019 season Friday afternoon.

"After the season you always have to make assessments of the program." Eley said. "We felt like after making the assessments of where the program was offensively, defensively and on special teams that each of these young men were chosen to come in and get us to where we need to be. They have been brought in to help us be competitive week in and week out, and to give us an opportunity to win a championship."

The changes occurred on both sides of the football, including the promotion of a current staff member to a coordinator for the upcoming season. On the defensive side of the football, the Hornets added a pair of new faces and promoted Travis Pearson to defensive coordinator.

Decent hires, but it doesn’t seem like you have an identity or know where you want to go. I like Pearson, but it will come down to what you will do on offense.

When you have this many changes, it simply means the head coach's job is on the line if he's not successful next year.
Unfortunately, this usually doesn’t work out. Good head coaches doesn’t have problems to find quality assistants and it’s evident that there is no plan with these additions, it seems desperation hires!

They awoke again? LOL
We haven’t played y’all in 2 years but I see you’re scared of a strong Bama State just like everyone else.

We already have the facilities..only a matter of time before we start getting the best players
