Not true. Clowning and smacking is one thing, but meaning it is another. Nobody at JSU wants to see Alabama State go through this, but with Cole there, and with his track record, we saw it comming.

This dude is admitting that his program has no institutional control. IS HE AN IDIOT!!!! Somebody please help me here. Does he not know that "lack of institutional control" is the one thing that the NCAA can use to really CRIPPLE your program.

Plus accordingt to the numerous reports that have come out on this thing, he's never asked the Cole's for their side of the story. Uh, that means there's been no "due process" in this investigation. Somebody please help me.

BTW- I wouldn't miss the SWAC media day for nothing in the world. I might get to B'Ham at 7am and wait for LC and Johnnie at their hotel. This is gonna' be GOOD!!!!

MONTGOMERY, Ala. ?Cosby would not comment on whether action could be taken against head coach L.C. Cole, who left Tennessee State after the 1999 season. Cole won two Ohio Valley Conference titles at TSU, but the Tigers were placed on NCAA probation just before he left for recruiting and player eligibility violations.

''It's really kind of a shock to me, because I'm not a compliance officer,'' L.C. Cole said. ''I'm just a football coach. Whoever they certify to participate, that's who I put on the field. Going on my fourth year here, it's a shock to me all this stuff has taken place right up under my nose and I didn't know.''

Where is Roarman and that other TSU alumni? They said that this stuff was going to happen about 6-7 months ago. I wish I could go back and pull up that thread that was posted about a "certain coach getting fired in Montgomery".

This makes me sad.

Yall just said what we have been saying all along, so are we just to ignore this article? Would that make you feel better? Or should we say something like, "as black folk, we need to stick together in ASUs time of need." Is that what we should do?

Quit crying about people posting articles and deal with the problem. The problem is not that the articles exist, the problem is the need for the articles to exist.

Dude, there are a million-gazillion "JSU folks" walking around this planet. I'm sure that, here and there, you have a couple who wouldn't mind L.C. being our coach.

But the overwhemingly vast majority of "JSU folks" wouldn't give L.C. a second thought!!!

crazylegs, ASU is not the first school to be smacked on about serious issues or allegations that have taken place at their school.

We've even had dayum parental integrity called into question on a couple of these threads :smh: The only thing I'm asking GR is that if he enjoys seeing this mess going down at State, just say so and spare the rest of us this sanctimonious "JSU is holier than Thou" commentary.

MH and ALL ALABAMA STATE HORNETS....

ALL I can say is "Hang In There" all of this stuff will pass. We've all experienced (in some form or another) that over-zealoused administration with 2 or 3 back-stabbing s-o-b's willing to try and take the entire Athletic Program down the tubes. Your History is strong and your Athletic Program is established......it might not seem like it right now BUT ALL of this bullsnit will pass. GOOD LUCK with the NCAA. You know how fickled and unfair those butt heads can be!
