**I attended this game and attendance was "under-counted"...Robinson Stadium holds 19,600...Gramblings side was packed full...Jackson's side was half to two-thirds full...my estimate when looking at the crowd was 12,000-15,000....as a matter of fact the figure for the Alcorn game(11,880) was reported higher...I know this game was better attended than the Alcorn game!!!!!!

I look at the attendance for the JSU/GSU game on the SWAC.org and this is what was said:
Attendance was counted with a broken turnstyle. It will be recalculated and released.
I think that this has been the problem all year long with the attendance numbers. The Alcorn game had more than 11,800 reported and the Langston game had more than the 6,500 reported. The stadium holds 20,000. Are they saying that not even a whole side could be filled??? 9,000??? Come on now...

Ooooh, now we believe there's a problem...

.... but anytime someone from JSU complains about attendance discrepancies, people come out of the woodwork with hatred and accusations of lying.

The Grambling figures seem about right.
p.s. Grambling's side was not packed. I could still see the GSU in the fold down seats. The sections right next to the band were full but that whole side was far from full. I think 9,000 is about right.

Given the weather situation in the south last weekend, I was shocked at the number of people that showed up for the game.

I recorded the game and the Home side was clearly full

and at halftime the shots on television showed the stadium at least 75-80 percent full. I would guess that there was at least 16500 at that game easily.

People were still coming in at halftime is the way it looked on TV.

What stadium and game were you at? There is no way you still saw the GSU in the tiger seats. The truth is that JSU's side was far from full.

:smh:This is horrible. I can't believe you posted that like we would believe it even though we all saw differently on Saturday. :smh:

REMEMBER HE'S FROM JACKSON.

There were actually 54,500 people there. We had about 10 fans there. I dont know where they got 9,000 from. Grambling's side had people sitting in the isles and everything.

I wonder if the SWAC will retain it's title as Division 1-AA's attendance leader this year? The JSU/UAPB game drew only 2,500 fans. I think attendance this year in the SWAC as a whole is down.

My goodness you beat me to it. I don't know how the stadium can be almost full and they report a number you expect in a stadium less than half the size of Memorial.

Actually our side was at least 75% full despite weather.

A big game like that should be moved to a netural site.

JSU/GRAMBLING.

There is no reason to move the GSU game to a neutral area. That won't help it attract anymore peole. Our people will go no matter where the game is.

Mighty Hornet,
There were actually about 42,000 people there. I think. 35,000 of them were JSU fans. ;)

1. Alabama A&M
2. Alcorn State
3. Jackson State
4. Alabama State
5. Miss. Valley

*waiting for Mighty Hornet to tell us all how Alabama State will still make it to the SCG.
