Atlanta Football Classic Website Launched: SU vs. FAMU

Nah...I wanna see FAMU vs. SU in a home and home in the future....I like it in Atlanta for about two or three years though.

Agreed. The FAMU game was always circled whether in Baton Rouge or Tallahassee. They need to stop the foolishness and make this game an annual thing. Give the people what they want!

Is all of that code for "I'm afraid UNC is going to whoop our azz"?

Negro please. UNC ain't worth the airfare and our defense is ready to kick azz this year. UNC has lost everything and even the everything they had on defense last year couldn't beat us. If I was guaranteed to see the SU azz whooping and the UNC azz whoopin, I might get a ticket.

Nope, it's more like, I already know ASU is gonna whoop our arse again, so I'm not gonna go to jackson. I'll just go to the Atlanta Classic instead. You know, kinda like........ you. :retard:

Got your Atlanta Classic tickets yet?
:lol::lol:

I can't drive to games so I pick what games I want to attend. Right now, I am going to three JSU games (@ SU, @ AAMU and vs UAPB) and one GaTech game (vs VT). The only reason the ATL Classic is in the mix is that I am considering a second GT game. I want to do Clemson but that game is at a bad time so UNC is the only other decent option...and I would ONLY go to the ATL classic if the GT-UNC game is at night which is unlikely.

Nope. Not this time. Ole' Peas and Carrots about to face its nemesis! Need I say Honda BOTB 2010?

If SU can get the dance routine right, they should at least be able to take halftime. This year, you are facing two dangerous coaches who went 8-3 last year and are fighting for the respect of their fan base. Po SU.

MH,

...ain't NOBODY thinking about AlaState. We drew 24K at home last year for AAMU. We will do the same this year vs BAMA Jelly. Our team should be 3-0 and quite possibly shooting for the #1 position in BCF. Your creampuff team is gonna get whooped by Comegy like they ALWAYS do.

I have no dog in this fight, but this was really good scheduling on Southern's behalf. We are scheduled to play Clark-Atlanta (again) that weekend. Last year, CAU did not bring a crowd because everyone was back in Atlanta. Unfortunately, whoever composed our schedule did a piss poor job of scheduling us to play them again the same weekend. I'm probably correct in guessing that CAU alum/fans will not be there again. Hell, I may just end up in Atlanta myself to see the Jags go against the Snakes......

UAPB simply needs to demand a decent opponent for this event. You all had AAMU. I say go back to them. Either that or try to get another SWAC opponent. You all have the most to gain by building this game up. If you can get a consistent 45K per year at this game, that would be great but the sacrifice may have to come from UAPB to sacrifice a home game every year and bring a team to STL. You could have played CAU for Homecoming.

I wholeheartedly agree with you TP. But in this case, AAMU has to want to play in St. Louis. If they do not see this as being in the best interest for their school, we can't force their hand. As for the remaining SWAC schools, I believe all are playing other big games the same weekend or have a bye scheduled.

Again, you are correct in saying that UAPB has the most to gain in this. Hopefully, whoever our next AD is, will see this and try to give us a more competitive football schedule. (Not necessarily in the Gateway Classic) I'd love to see our football schedule with the remaining 9 SWAC schools, Arkansas State, UCA, and Tennessee State!

Since the Atlanta Classic coincides with the Gateway, playing CAU for our homecoming was an idea that I thought was most logical, but I'm not the AD.

JSU's band needs to learn how to drill first before talking about anybody!

Does anyone know which hotel the Dancing Dolls, er, um, the SU delegation will be staying that weekend? Need to book rooms. Flying in Thursday; flying out Sunday.

Oh yeah? Post a video of 3 bands that drill better than JSU.

We know one for sure that does. LOL. That's all that counts on our end. Until they take them damn drums off the sideline it will always be a suspect drilling band in my opinion. Harold Haughton send help. That's just pure laziness not to incorporate them in the drill from the outset.

Now stop talking band stuff TP. You know you don't really know. LOL.

I can post at least 5 bands that drill better, but that is another topic.

Stump will have a lot of pressure on him next season with a new AD coming in.

Words of advice:

Take it one game at a time. Tennessee State comes before FAMU and TN State will have reason to break Mumford's Scoreboard.

I don't know! The pressure is on him, if he go 5-6 or worse, he won't get an extension.

Unless Stump has way more talent I don't see him winning a lot of games as I dont see him outcoaching many people. Heard you guys had a good recruiting class, but the story could be written by the 6th week of the season before those young men can contribute significantly. Now if he beats JT, we lose to SCSU again and we don't see the playoffs, FAMU will be the ones looking for a coach.

As far as the Nation is concerned the Atlanta Classic is a must win for Stump. Brother will be shooting bricks that weekend. Also look for a grudge match in the JState game as well. First time in years playing those cats in Mumford??? What?!!! That stadium is going to be ridiculous! Another must win. And, oh yeah, that game in New Orleans Thanksgiving weekend is high on the priority list as well. Matter of fact make that jawn No. 1. Stump's got his work cut out. We shall see in Nashville.

These three said games are what matters most to SU fans. Everybody else does not matter. Stump needs to get at least 2 out of 3 of those games.
